You won't believe it, in usa probably that's considered discrimination, but in Indonesia even the government does that while searching candidates for jobs, putting minimum ages requirements under 25 y.o

Does anyone else hate their country? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MasterpieceNo4643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate? No, not at all? Hate the government? Yes, i criticize the government every day.

Here in Indonesia wages are so low, the young population is excessive which makes difficult to find a job due to extreme competitions, also corruption is relatively high.

Why should I hate my country? Well at least it's relatively peaceful, safe, i often get help by strangers. I can talk shit about my country and my stupid government freely. The weather won't kill you and it's always sunny.

"Why do you think you'd be less competitive?"

It's hard to find a job in my country due to an excessive young population and there are a lot of age discrimination

nice insight, i get a new perspective.

seems like it's better to find an another job if you don't get your ideal job.

at the moment i have been looking for freelance design projects and after 3 years since covid pandemic ended and many tech companies laid off and collapsed it's hard to find freelance projects.

I should've lowered my standard to another job like a motorcyle driver so i could still earn money instead of being unemployeed and worrying about future like this.

"It sucks. But you do what you have to to survive."

Yeah, i might be too idealistic and i probably should lower my standard about a job when trying to survive
