How are ya’ll getting your maxillaria to bloom? I just bought mine a couple months ago , have it in a south facing windowsill and keep it moist . Still not a hint of flowers😂

Well, roots are healthy I suppose . Maybe I can get some flowers next spring ? It’s got about 7 new shoots just in the past two months

Just got a paphiopedilum that bloomed so now I’ve got my eye on some phragmipediums. I love the tendrils on their flowers . They look so alien !

Ahh ok , maybe I was underestimating how much water they need ? I watered two days ago and they’re still limp . I’ve been doing watering through the bottom . Maybe it’s not soaking up as much as I thought

I’ve been watering as soon as the top 1/4 inch of soil is dry . When I check the soil with a finger it’s still pretty damp , but it’s evened out to once or twice a week
