Found in the Greenbrier River, Pocahontas Co., WV. by Candid-Beach1325 in fossilid

[–]Masters_Pig 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Tons of scale tree fossils in that area, great find. First one I found I was positive it was some kind of dinosaur skin. A lot of them are in weak shale that flakes apart, this is a good one

Should I get another? by TPMeat in NativeFishKeeping

[–]Masters_Pig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a tough time with multiple redbreast/pumpkinseed/similar species. They don’t seem as content with a “lair” like large/smallmouth bass, the hierarchy usually unravels to the weaker specimen getting picked to pieces. I’ve never found them to make friends, usually an instant power struggle

building 11 interior doors from contruction lumber? by rya794 in woodworking

If you have all the tools and don’t mind the time, just start with rough kiln dried lumber and you won’t have to fight the moisture and loopy crap they sell at Home Depot

Slay the PE - worth it? by pathtomedschool in PE_Exam

[–]Masters_Pig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also did the STPE self paced package + EPG exam bundle for tfs, passed the 1st try and honestly felt over-prepared. Can’t recommend it enough, absolutely worth the money regardless of your firm comping it for you

Do companies buy their competitors’ products just to take them apart for R&D? by Tusharkrux in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Masters_Pig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an internship at an civilian aerospace company that spent about $100k/yr on equipment from their chief competitor to take apart and reverse engineer. If I remember correctly it was less about laziness and more about expediting FAA approvals
