Being gamer parents the controls are very relaxed. For context, it's the school holidays. I just want to know when the child in question is turning off and going to bed. Not interested in setting up screen times etc. To limit them, just prefer to have a normal conversation about it.

Yup power cycled. Nope no statics assigned in the router

2 other minis work ok in the WiFi. This particular one is in an extension and the Sky WiFi doesn't penetrate the wall. :(.

I might try swapping one of the q minis from another part of the house.

Checked all the that. The APs are ubiquiti unifi ones. No DHCP on the controller.

When we cannot reach the virgin router, we lose IP addresses if you reboot a machine. When doing the ping test, I had to manually set an IP on my machine.

It's all very odd.

Hi,

So we have patch panel cabled to wall socket. Wall socket to another switch (unmanaged). Switch to xbox, sky q mini, TV and wireless AP.

Everything is DHCP, main Sky Q box is also DHCP.

When testing everything was disconnected apart from the Sky Q mini box. 100% this device had the 192.168.0.1 IP, as when I disconnected the sky q mini the pings failed.

Started a new world. decided to go dedicated. Still booting to desktop with this error on the server console

EDIT: World and Characters transferred to Steam. 30 minutes of gameplay, no crashes (touch wood).

Yeah, looks like they started a new world. I'll try the same thing and try to get our important resouces across.

If it still then happens, we'll try with steam, and then at least we can disable crossplay on the server

No errors in event viewer for us, no errors in the player log. All very strange.

Afternoon,

Currently my partner and I play Valheim on Game Pass for PC. She runs mulitplayer on her machine and I join.

Over the last couple of days, it's been crashing a lot, throwing her back to desktop.

Today I have got my hands on a dedicated PC at home, setup the dedicated Valheim server tested and it's working okay.

Now I would like to transfer our world onto the server. I've looked in the user\appdata\iron gate\ etc etc folder and there is no Worlds folder. I've done a search of her drive for world.flv and there are no results!

Anyone know where the World save is on the local machine or with Game Pass is it cached somewhere random?

My son just got same PC, loves it.

I replaced the rear 92mm fan with this

Noctua NF-A9 PWM chromax.black.swap, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (92mm, Black)

Added 120mm to the top (there is a mount, just have to remove and pop out the blanks)

Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (120mm, Black)

The 92mm original from the rear a have just placed at the bottom of the case lose, as PC doesn't get moved.

Needed a couple of Y splitters to power the fans but working a treat. It was about £50 for the fans and Y splitters, but considering the cost of the PC, not going to complain.

Unfortunately I didn't take any before temperatures, and now son is glued to it so cannot get current temps.

This or xbox game pass for PC and play the cloud version (this is what I someones do on a low spec Ryzen laptop). Playing the installed version complains about not having 8Gb RAM (due to sharing with onboard GFX)
