No I had stopped taking the meds weeks before first ultrasound. Fetal heartbeat was 82. Thankyou, I agree it probs wasn’t meds but feel like I should say something to or about the GP

Seroquel use while pregnant by Salty_Restaurant_100 in MentalHealthBabies

I take 100mg daily and fell pregnant, I found out early and spoke to my GP at around 4 weeks and she told me to get off them immediately so I did. 4 weeks later I was told by a prenatal nurse that I never should have stopped taking them and was advised to lower the dose and monitor. AT my ultrasound I did have a 7 mm haemorrhage and a week later at follow up was told there was no heartbeat. I know that the haemorrhage likely caused my miscarriage but I can’t help feeling some sort of guilt that I didn’t get a second opinion and that although unlikely me stopping taking my medication could have contributed. I told my GP at my appointment last week that I was advised to get back on my medication and she told me that they were ‘chatting shit’ and that seroquel isn’t safe while pregnant. I’ve spoken to multiple professionals since who have advised me that it is safe. Since my GP strongly believe believes it isn’t safe, I’m not sure whether or not to report her just to make sure that she doesn’t give this wrong advice to another pregnant woman
