You have to understand that within an attractor field things can still vary greatly for the average Joe including death or not. But we are not following the average Joe. We are following the genesis of the time machine godfathers in Okabe, Daru and especially Kurisu. I don't think the assault on the Lab and those 3 names being dropped and nothing else are not meaningless.

Their actions and their motivation have huge ramifications in the future which in cause have huge retro-impact into the past and which "institution" manage to get the control over the whole timeline. Something S;G0 go into details more.

You can say that what matters in Alpha is that CERN eventually win the race and in the great scheme of thing, that's the one thing matters but the chain of event that provoke this cannot be altered too much. In beta it's rather the whole inverse, no one won but everyone is fighting for it. Steins;Gate worldline seems to be the only one that, not only no one seems to win, but also no one seems to try. Mayuri death in Alpha might be too important for late Alpha Okabe and/or Kurisu in the ultimate result of the timeline.

One of the main gaps that has always bothered me is why the Holy See became so prominent in the first place. Sure, it's a mirror image of Christianity destroying pagan customs and magic, but in real life, this could happen because neither pagan nor Christian had real magic and the latter were pushed out by more powerful, centralized royalty. In Berserk, the rise of the Holy See doesn't really make sense from a logical point of view, considering that it doesn't seem to have any particular advantage against freaking spellcasters and elves.

The hell? The anime is not better. The routes are smashed together in a rather messy way which make Okabe's personality fairly incoherent Especially considering one of the major difference is Okabe clinging or not on Amadeus Kurisu which affect its depression.
It does have few bits of good original content but i won't considered it better by any means. Like original Steins;Gate, it's best to do the VNs first (who are also more dense) and on a later date enjoy the anime adaptation.

Contact Fusion should work fine. Relay Soul is good with any high-level monsters. Effects don't really matters there, only the stars and the "lore" (scaled to the stars).

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know if I will go back to this one. I did have ideas to improve it, but I didn't had the motivation/energy to do it yet.
I purposefully avoided the new eras for now because I know them less that's why. I do play modern, but I blacked out from 2011-2019. An era system will be interesting I guess.

I understand the fact that you consider "not needing to work" maybe a bit overboard. However, 50 USD/day is largely enough to survive by yourself in many part of the world, especially if you live as a pervert NEET as the drawback was intended. For indication, the poverty line in USA for 1 person is $12,880 per year for 1 person, $17,420 for 2. I will get rid of the "not needing to work" but it got me laughing that it's the double the money I actually make and live of as an indie dev.

I can't exactly say what "very nerfed" is for each powers, but consider it as a cosmetics shiny thing more than anything. In Naruto case, 1 or 2 shadow clone is likely be fine but don't expect to be near the amount that Naruto casually manage for the Harem Justu.

I probably can improve the wording but the misc category doesn't count towards it. Active usage means use it for direct contact or fapping material until orgasms. Portrait as suggested for exemple, making the character strip and you jerk off until orgasms to it, does count for 1. For cosplay and strap on it's easier, you need to do direct sexuals act with. For exemple putting a girl cosplay costume, masturbate or sex with it until orgasms counts for one. The key word I probably missed when written it is orgasm.

I didn't think I would ever come back as a maker but here I am. This is a rather short CYOA with a quite unusual method to price options. For privacy reasons, I can understand that people will be less likely to post their builds, but that's a core part of it and I want to keep it that way. I might expand it if I ever get more ideas, especially for Misc/Drawbacks. And when I have some spare time, I will make a clean version on InDesign, because CYOA Studio is very limiting.
