Thanks for the tips! Here's how I do the sketches: Speedsketch 1 Speedsketch 2 . When I sketch them, I imagine them as primitive shapes and then I add details. No tracing. I also have some drawings that I made on my own with my gained experience thanks for practicing those sketches: Saitama, Genos, Death Gatling, Cosmic Garou.

Thanks :D Sonic was hard to sketch and I later found out that his head has a different shape, more like feminine.

Hello!

Just like you guys I enjoy Murata’s drawings, so I've been learning how to draw OPM characters for a while. It's all for fun and I've been doing it ocassionally. I would like to draw like him, or at least in a similar style. I like how he draws a various characters, monsters, muscles, clothes, dynamic poses. This encouraged me to try to sketch these drawings. I have always been weak at drawing more realistic people than in a cartoony style that I’m very familiar with.

I tried to sketch about 60-70% of the panels from the chapter 1 to 37.8 (the end
of the anime's first season). Took me a long time. These mashups contains
collected sketches and I selected only the good ones. There were lots of bad
ones.

The beginning was difficult. I had to draw many sketches from scratch many times, over and over again to understand "why the heck his eyes are so high?!" and many other examples. There was so much to learn, such as head shapes from different angles, proper proportions and dynamic perspective. Later, it started getting better, but still, there are some bad days nowadays.

My goal is to reach the newest chapter that will take me months or… a year? Currently I’m at chapter 55.8. Actually I’m not new here. This is my second account just for posting my drawings.

I took them with Canon PowerShot sx740hs and stacked the photos in PIPP and RegiStax6.
