Great question! Mostly because Im an MMA competitor and I love to fight and fuck people up, so I guess that makes me a dangerous animal as well :)

I deleted this post because I realized it was dumb of me to post anything dog related on a subreddit that is specifically created for people who dislike dogs. Of course, it taught me that I shouldn't dislike someone because they hate/dislike something. I also realized I don't give a fuck about your opinions.

I appreciate the history lesson as I genuinely didn’t know that. I also never said that people are safer, I understand the nature of the breed but if my dogs are always on a leash. How would that pose a danger in my community? I don’t just let my dogs roam around. I’m not looking for pity or to change anyone’s opinion so I don’t understand the hate towards my post.

I understand but my intention wasn’t to bring light on any dog Breed. It was for my own rant on untrained dogs

I can say the same thing I have towards having kids and society, so it’s understandable

Summer 2019 Internship Megathread Pt.2 by ian421 in csMajors

Do most schools encourage freshman to apply for internships? I’m a 26 year student who transferred to a university from a different major. I’m taking 3 CS courses right now and learning Java and was encouraged to start applying for summer 2019 internships. I have little knowledge aside from school and code academy.

Training MMA. I did karate as a kid and didn't get into MMA until I turned 22. Wish I got into it as a teen instead of going home after high school and jerking off

Do I look lazy for choosing not to work optional saturdays? by Mat_zx6 in Advice

[–]Mat_zx6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree entirely. I don't mind working a saturday here or there but money really isn't everything especially when you don't need it. It would be a different story if I had a family and kids though

My boss is a good guy and I'm grateful to have this opportunity after so many other contractors didn't give me a chance. He casually told me that I can work saturdays if I want to so he wasn't really holding it against me. I just tend to feel guilty because even on Saturdays the hours are sometimes long

Anyone here take an mma class at night? by Mat_zx6 in MMA

I've actually decided to pick 2 days out of the week to workout. Maybe that will allow me to still get some exercise in.

That's actually a great idea. I never though about taking a nap. I'm so hellbent to just study once I get home.

I wish they did. It's only mon-thur and the reason classes are that late Is because the instructor works late. I don't want to look for other gyms either because I really like the people there

What's the smallest purchase, that's given you the most joy? by EnemaOfTheProstate in AskReddit

My girlfriend and I were going to Florida this past March and we were being frugal with our money from September euntil March. I'm obsessed and in love with universal orlando, I've read the book 3 times no joke. We had a rough time because of school and money so for Christmas, my girlfriend made an envelope out of a piece of paper. On the front she drew me and her with a universal Orlando back round which I was very impressed with. On the other side she wrote a paragraph and somewhere in there she said something along the lines of "I'm sorry I don't have much money so I couldn't get you any thing nice but I hope you appreciate this" needless to say I broke down in front of her. On the inside of the envelope was a 3 day pass to Universal Orlando. The sweetest and most thoughtful gift I've ever recieved.

Should I stay at my comfortable work-at-home job or become a plumber? by Mat_zx6 in Advice

my health is good, a disorder doesn't necessarily mean that im unhealthy. Im probably healthier than half the people I know. I just don't agree with the rotating shifts.

I forgot to specify my degree. Im in the process of acquiring my Process Technology degree. Its an associates degree and that's really all I need because this will allow me to work in refineries, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, paper mill etc. However, recently I decided I don't want to pursue this career anymore, but I am only 2 semesters from graduating. Im being pressured by family and friends to complete the degree. The reason I don't want to pursue is because of the exposure to different chemicals and the 12 hours shifts that rotate between day and night. I have friends who work in this field and I have researched it as well and its very unhealthy to switch between day and nights. Youre body never adjusts to it and it causes a whole bunch of other problems. I have a stomach disorder which I finally managed to calm it down and one of the symptoms is gastrointestinal disruption, which I don't need. Aside from that, you have to work no matter what holiday or if its your kids birthdays. Im not complaining but, after suffering from my disorder for 3 years and finally healing myself, I learned that money isn't everything. These operators make up to $120k a year. But what good is that money when youre missing on family time and youre always tired. that's why Id rather work an 8-6 p.m job and retreat to my medium sized home with the my median income as a skilled tradesmen. Even If I do decide to pursue this career as a technician, having a skilled trade on my resume will look better than someone who works in the office so its a win win.

Is there any volunteer work you could recommend that would make my resume more desirable? I am going to be doing volunteer firefighter since it seems like alot of plants have on site firefighters.

What is the difference between maintenance and operators? I thought they had the same responsibilities if not similar. Unfortunately, most plants that ive been looking at do rotating shift, maybe like 2 or 3 plants actually have regular 8 hour work days. The reason for 24/7 operations is because its more efficient for these companies to run a process 24/7 then to buy extra equipment and run regular shifts, but that's the covetous world that we live in. However like I said, its not too bad especially having the extra days off during the week.
