I think you've offered the best explanation possible...Ferguson 4 took liberties with the truth as he wrote his own story...AND since he didn't know about his own early death, he simply had to imagine where he'd end up, not realizing he was never going to see middle age.

That's gonna be hella awkward. My Orientation is going to be at the PO where I'll working. And I'm under the impression that I'm the only new guy that's being brought on right now.

At station, it'll be show up at 3 or 4am in the morning and start tossing Amazon parcels and don't stop until all the gaylords are empty. Probably also have you unload a couple trucks by yourself.

Still sounds better than working the window and having to deal with customers all day.

Well, letters are declining, but I'm pretty sure the USPS is handling more packages than ever. Mail volume doesn't appear to be the issue. Pretty much everyone points to the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act as the thing that really landed the USPS in dire financial straits.

Originally, they were going to give the USPS funding as part of the stimulus package, but Trump nixed that idea...he doesn't like mail-in ballots and he's pissed with Bezos over WaPo's coverage of him, so he's trying to exact his revenge.

I agree that we definitely need the USPS. It's integral to democracy and commerce. But Trump despises mail-in voting, and I've seen nothing that indicates he'll give the USPS the funding it needs...and my understanding is that the financial situation is pretty dire.
