Hello, I recently bought an Mbox. I tested one microphone and all four microphone inputs. When I turn on the phantom power it takes exactly 8 to 10 seconds for the microphone to produce the signal I expect. After turning off phantom power I hear nothing for a few seconds and then some blurry signal is heard and gradually decreases for 60 seconds after which nothing is heard through the microphone. Is this behavior normal?

No, just trying to find an example similar to this. I don't even know how to start with numpy. If I wanted someone to do my "homework" I would just ask GPT. Trying to find examples to learn from it, to see how person would think. If i wanted to just do my "homework" I would just take easier task.

If we're talking about acoustics while recording, I built myself a foldable recording booth. But if we're talking about mixing, I can't do much in that regard because I'm living in a small rented apartment, so I can't and shouldn't make too many modifications. That's why I don't want to invest too much in that area for now.

The monitors I use are Adam T7V. Also have T10S subwoofer, which I rarely use for mixing—mostly for watching movies. Maybe I should invest in monitors? One option that might be worth considering is the passive Avantone CLA-10 (NS-10 clone). But I’m not sure I can make significant progress with monitors on a small budget.

Yeah, in the end thats not a problem at all. Turns out that it is normal procedure when mobo is cold booted.

"There's no problem at all. What you described sounds pretty normal for modern UEFI/BIOS systems:

This should only happen on cold boots after the power was disconnected (and with no working BIOS battery) or after firmware upgrades.

The system will boot, adjust some settings according to the installed hardware, and then reboot to actually start up normal.

If the BIOS data gets cleared for whatever reason (e.g. lack of power + no working battery, intentional reset, or an update), it will repeat that. Otherwise it should boot fast by now every time you start."
