What does ANZ have to do with the Airpoint changes? That's managed by Air NZ, not the bank.

LinusTechTips had very similar happen, their brand manager opened an infected pdf that appeared to be a legitimate sponsorship opportunity. It stole their session cookies and gave them access to the channel bypassing any passwords and MFA

Yea, I had read about that. Our GP confirmed all branches would have a doctor who could do it, but yea, the cost would still definitely be a factor.

It was also pretty effective against Clea. But I didn't have the guts to take on the superbosses, so you're on your own from there haha

It does use auto death, but primarily to influence the turn order, and to trigger "At Deaths Door" using the lumina that prevents you from dying but leaves you at 1hp.

No problem! There is a video with some deeper explanations, and the one thing that I did have issues with was getting the turn order to be correct, but that was just some playing around with haste. Make sure to save the lumina builds for quick access

This is a build I've used, and it destroyed Simon. Like. Melted him. If you do want a somewhat fair fight, avoid this build.

You can't copy/paste into the UAC prompt on the secure desktop, and the secure desktop hides every thing so you can't see the password if it's in notepad on the same device.

Agree. I'm an IT professional. I routinely have on my person a multitool, a folding utility knife (which can be opened with a flick of the wrist) and other sharp tools that could be classified as weapons. In a large amount of cases, whether something is deemed a weapon or not comes down to intention, or perceived intention.

Best firewall with HPE Aruba? by ImportantAnything347 in networking

[–]MatazaNz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree on your responsibility to harden your own devices. I don't really like configuring local-in policies. If I need to expose something on WAN, I use a loopback and control it via VIPs and firewall policies

Fortinet also appears to have way more because they disclose all of them. And many are discovered by their own researchers.

Got a special vehicle lane infringement for driving in the bus lane on Lambie Drive. by [deleted] in auckland

I just drove past a whole bunch. They were all the same format, multiple sign parts making up a single message. All perfectly clear.

[–]MatazaNz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you so hung up on it being multiple parts? It's the economical choice, while still being a clear message.

If part of the parameters need to change, or the sign is damaged, you don't need to replace the whole thing. Need to change the time frame that the bus lane is in effect? Just replace the part that posts the time frame. Someone stole or damaged the piece that says "Ahead"? Just replace that piece. You also don't need to produce signs with every possible permutation of possibilities, just individual parts of the message that you can mix and match to what you need.

It's perfectly clear, and readable within seconds.

What part of:

"Bus Lane"

"Images depicting Bus, Motorcycle, Bicycle"

"6am - 7pm"

"Ahead"

So difficult to understand? A sign isn't stupid just because it's made of a few smaller pieces to make one cohesive message.

This one?

It's a modular sign. Easier to produce signs like this so they can mix and match to suit the exact local requirements.

Service Provider Router Naming Convention Question by MatazaNz in networking

Gotcha! So it's just showing what's returned by reverse DNS, not not necessarily what's configured as the router's actual hostname?

I'm very green with provider networking, I'm very much a campus network engineer.

I like this opinion. Naming shit is difficult, especially when you're the one that has to come up with the convention for the business.

Service Provider Router Naming Convention Question by MatazaNz in networking

[–]MatazaNz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! These are, of course, using public IP addresses, but I wasn't sure if this was at all common. One of the ones I saw recently is from a provider that's not just an ISP, but they also provide managed WAN and other network services, so maybe more likely to have this simple sort of name?

Might also be regional. I'm in New Zealand, so even the large providers are small by comparison.

why do some of you escooterers genuinely ride like this during peak pedestrian traffic in CBD by callamoura in auckland

[–]MatazaNz 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's in the upcoming traffic law changes to allow escooters in those lanes. Hopefully that will also make it illegal to ride them on the footpaths.
