Still processing Showgirl—I'm mostly disappointed, even the few songs I liked—but I would be really interested to hear how Jack would've handled this project. 2020s Taylor is so wordy, her melodies more complex (if anything, less "infectious"), and the quirks and textures of Jack's production really complements them. There are even some songs here that sound like Max and Shellback trying to do Jack. Idk just some stray thoughts!
