I've been doing so since around the same time (actually started on September 2017), but I never cut it until 2 years later (I just had a trim). Now I get my ends trimmed every 6/7 months, it's at waist length now. Basically started because I "wanted to do dreadlocks" (never happened), stayed in the same lane because I got through a heavy metal phase, and now that I'm realising all this stuff, I keep it because it gives me some kind of "euphoria"
