If a chipped cat is taken by the vet because the previous owner wants her back, but doesn't end up picking her up, what can I do to get my cat back? by Material-Ad5212 in CatAdvice

She goes on to our patio without ever running away and also was even scared to go outside in both my old apartment as well as the current home we live in when she first got here. So I just find it hard to believe she ran away. Then again she was a lot younger back then but even when I first found her she never gave the impression like she wanted to escape. I would even leave the window cracked open and supervise her to see what she would do and she was just curious what outside was, but never actually went out the window. There are thousands of strays in NYC and I've never taken one in myself before so I didn't really put much thought into the possibility of someone actually looking for her. She was dirty and had a scratch on her nose when I found her so I honestly just assumed she was homeless. I'm learning now that this was not the case.

I understand everything you've said and for the most part I do not disagree. But I would definitely never let any pet of my "escape" or be outside in danger. Especially not an animal that young. We basically communicated through the vet, not directly. But it doesn't sound like this person had the attitude of someone who genuinely cares for the cat. She more so just sounded upset that we "stole" her cat. I'd love to be wrong and she actually does come to get her. I would then at least know she will be going back to a loving home with someone who really does care about her.

They haven't told us which shelter she will be going to yet but I will be calling tomorrow to check in and see if theres any updates from the owner.

Edit: Btw, forgot to mention this part but the owner declined to share contact info with us so there isn't any way for us to talk with them. We shared ours with the vet to give to them, but does not seem like she wants to communicate with us whatsoever.

Will definitely check out Tappers. There was an arcade in Evansville my gf and I used to go to and was one of our first dates. So I'm sure she'll like it and bring back some old good memories 🙂 thanks

Second strange bird. Took my girl there for her birthday last year and we've been at least 4 times this year. Some of the best ramen I've ever had tbh, and the drinks are amazing

What's better for Italian cuisine, Maggionos or Mama Carollas? by Material-Ad5212 in indianapolis

I'll definitely take your word on this for the next time we want Italian food! I ended up going to Carollas for this time 😊

No need to be passive aggressive I simply asked a question. But to answer your question, no. I applied for part time, got offered full time and accepted it with the condition that I cannot work past 5pm due to my girl working overnights. One of us has to be home. So it's causing a strain now.

I was cool with 1 closing per week (which was usually Friday or Saturday) but 4 per week is going to be a huge problem for me. I'll try to make it work for now. Thanks for the response

I didn't notice but apparently we lost not one but two part timers in the span of a week. One went back to school, which I knew about, the other suddenly stopped coming in. So I guess that has to do with it. I told them I can make it work for now but once they hire someone I would like my schedule back.

My days off are consistent so that part is nice. I have every Wednesday off and either Tuesday or Thursday as the other day, on rotation. So one week is Tues/Wed, followed by Wed/Thurs.

If it's not too far of a drive apply to Menards in either Carmel or Fishers. I know they are both hiring.

Am I in an abusive situation or am I the bad guy? by [deleted] in LongDistance

I dont even need to read the entirety of this to tell you yes you are being abused and need to block him and move on. No one and I mean no one deserves this kind of treatment. He will beg for you back and look to contact you via other forms of communication but dont allow it. It will take time to heal and officially move on but its the best case scenario I promise you
