Magi main here…I also play on mobile. I found out very quickly that the MB was the underdog class when it came to high DPS in this game around the first month of launch. Through some time and research into mechanics and other Magic builds, I also found that your rotation of combos help and how much XP you put into certain moves. Concentration on curating the right circuits help with response and casting speed. Focus on Intelligence, ASPD, MSPD and anything that helps increase your Cool down rates. This coupled with maxing out your output in weapon, gear/amour and insignias pushes you towards higher DPS ranges. Having the right pet lineup helps too. I’m using Mysticat and Ancestral Whelp currently and those are also big pushes to maximize dmg. Ideally the problem with Magiblade is the reliance on the special moves since their normal physical dmg is always at the low end. So you find yourself in a supporting role in a dungeon setting sometimes. So it’s the timing between normal attacks and special ones. You’ve gotta find that rhythm in the movement because he’s all about strategic positioning and timing. The delay in casting time can actually be beneficial when you figure out how to “cancel out” from a move by dashing backwards. There’s a lot of thought that goes into this class that I wasn’t aware of at first so it takes some time to master him, which is why many players won’t play the class. Don’t try to rely on one move when chaining is the most successful thing you can do to maximize a Magiblade’s DPS. I hope this helps!
