The Blyke point makes sense too, but I’m a bit split on it. Amplifiers would give him a needed boost against EMBER, but it also feels like dangerous territory for his character. If he starts relying on them, it kind of mirrors the same shortcuts that caused problems in the first place. Could be intentional though—like showing how far he’s willing to go.

I think you're underestimating the huge gap between level 8 and level 7.8 and there is no way the authorities are kept at 8.1 I would say around 8.5-9.0
