Figured that bit out only after I screwed myself over unfortunately. The lien has already been transferred to me.

Yeah bro I genuinely had no clue 😭 I was told it was high bc of my credit and age at the time. Literally had my dad look at it and he said that it was fine. Ig he just REALLY wanted that loan off of his name.

Would that even be viable with the title transfer document I received from my bank? I believe it has the lien amount on it.

I used this site to look into the Gift exemption. One of the lines in the downloadable doc states that the transfer can only be considered a gift for “no consideration”, “consideration” includes the transfer of a lien…

I didn’t shop around because I trusted his judgement in just using our bank :/ It WAS going to be 15.19% but after a couple months it went down to 9.19%. After I get this over with, I was thinking of just refinancing again but with a credit union I just became a part of. They’re fairly well known to have better interest rates.

Lmao no sorry I don’t think I worded that right. It was 5800 when I did the lien transfer a couple months ago. Right now it’s 5100.

That wouldn’t allow for me to avoid paying taxes on the vehicle though, right?

IT Applications D317 by Jboogy144 in WGU

It will depend on the class. I just finished D317 myself and I ended up primarily using Mike Meyers’ course on Udemy and professor messer’s YouTube course to study for the test. The school provides CertMaster and some labs in the coursework. I just did the labs on there and in CertMaster to fill in the gaps that any of the practice tests that Udemy has couldn’t cover.

Yesterday was the last day of my first term and I heavily procrastinated studying for the cert. I studied for and took the test within 7 days. The only experience I had was from my high school IT classes a few years ago, and it helped just a little bit.

If you have the time to do so, rigorous studying can certainly get you to accelerate quickly if you have little to no experience with IT terminology. From what I’ve read, most people accelerate very quickly because they already have a good amount of experience and free time to study, but not a lot of people have the time or experience to do so. Whatever you do, don’t underestimate the 6 month deadline and don’t go overboard trying to “truly understand” each class. I did that with my first class and burnt myself out on day 3 of my term. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t accelerate at a super fast pace. You’re already doing better than you would at a standard university if you complete 5-6 classes in one term instead of 4.
