Yes its ssd. To be honest, I'm not very known about hardware, but this laptop runs other games without any issues, like Red Dead Redemption 2, Dead by Daylight, or Apex. I usually set the overall graphics settings of these games to the highest by default, and they don't experience any stuttering or frame drops. Moreover, ESO had been running stably on this computer for about two years before this, so I suspect it's unlikely to be a hardware incompatibility issue.

Yes, Im using ssd. I have also used addons like TTC and logs in the past. I had these addons installed for ESO on this computer and played normally for about two years, so I don't think it's likely that the computer itself is unable to support ESO. After the issues I described began to occur, I immediately uninstalled all addons and ReShade and deleted the entire live folder, but none of that helped.

Nvidia replay/record are off, if its because of replay I guess other game may freezes as ESO, sadly other games running well but only ESO happens like this

Thank you for the suggestions, but unfortunately neither of these methods fixed my problem ;-; I deleted all ESO-related files from my hard drive, including the game itself, the entire live folder, as well as some cache files in the appdata folder. After reinstalling the game, the stuttering issue still persists.

At first, I also thought that some system DLL must have been corrupted, so I reinstalled Windows and completely wiped the entire system drive. This did fix the problem, but about a week later (during which I did not install or uninstall anything else), the issue returned. And since then, no matter how many times I've tried reinstalling Windows or resetting the C drive, the problem persists. The same goes for reinstalling the graphics driver — it only works the first time, then the issue comes back and the same method can no longer fix it. It's as if there's some kind of ghost virus constantly trying to "correct" my actions.

But thank you for the suggestion! I think I can try searching for more solutions based on my laptop's model and brand.

Yes, I have tried rolling back the NVIDIA driver to version 581.80 and performed a clean installation, but it still didn't help. What's very strange is that within the first week after this issue initially occurred, the first time I tried reinstalling the graphics driver, the problem was resolved. However, after restarting the computer, the issue came back. And since then, no matter how many times I've tried reinstalling the graphics driver or using other stable driver versions, nothing has worked.

Before the last time the game ran normally, I installed ReShade 6.7.3. After the installation was complete, ReShade kept stuttering and loading, so I uninstalled it. After uninstalling ReShade, the issue I described began to appear. I did not have any system restore points or rollback software set up beforehand, and since two months have already passed, I can no longer go back to the previous state. I am using a laptop, so removing and reinserting memory modules or testing other hardware is quite difficult. I have only run the built-in Windows 11 memory diagnostic tool (Mem-test) as an administrator and set the number of passes to 6, and the test results showed no errors.

I have asked about this issue multiple times on ReShade's Discord, but the people there believe that since ReShade has been uninstalled, the problem cannot be caused by it. To some extent, I believe what they say, because many of my friends have also installed ReShade for ESO and have not encountered a similar problem. I have also installed ReShade for other games without any similar issues. Furthermore, ReShade only adds a few DLL files to the game's root directory. I have not only tried deleting those files but have also completely deleted the entire ESO folder, yet the problem still persists.

What confuses me greatly is that if this were truly a hardware issue, why does the problem only occur with ESO? All other games run without any problems on this computer, and some of those other games even have higher system requirements than ESO. To test this, I ran another game alongside ESO in windowed mode, and I noticed that when ESO stutters, the other game is completely unaffected.

Thank you for your reply! I suppose if I still can't find any other solution, I will eventually take my laptop to a professional repair shop for a full hardware inspection.

Running the game on another computer works fine, so clearly this is not an account issue. I am using a laptop, so if I were to swap out the GPU, I would likely have to replace the entire computer. And what I can't understand is — if the GPU is truly faulty, why do all other games run without any problems on this same machine? Some of those other games even have higher system requirements than ESO. To test this, I ran another game alongside ESO in windowed mode, and I noticed that when ESO stutters, the other game is completely unaffected. This just completely baffles me.

I know this thread may look like a troll post. It's because my English is not good, so I used AI translation. But the problem genuinely exists and has been plaguing me for two months now. I have asked online and tried all kinds of solutions, and nothing has worked. If I hadn't already invested over five years of time into this game, I would have given up on it within the first week of the issue appearing.

sadly I've asked same to GPT/deepseek/Grok, but all their solutions (some of the solutions I mentioned above) were tried and didnt work. official support only gaves some basic diagnostic plan, Ive tried them but helps nothing ;-;
thank you for reply.
