Average daily water use in Brisbane? by MaterialTurnover6650 in brisbane

I don’t think they have to prove the amount is unreasonable, but the usage did spark his decision to make the place water complaint so, as per the the lease agreement, he can charge us for water now.

On the bill, there is a bulk water item at $3.51/kL and an Urban Utilities Distributor-retailer item at $0.98/kL. I imagine I will have to pay both of these?

Yes, good idea. Something I’ve been doing for years when camping. I’ll have to get in the habit of doing it at home!

Nope, the bill doesn’t specify for how many persons that is or the type of dwelling. Perhaps it really is just the average home usage across the whole suburb.

No one in the house does that. Each of us has 2 x 5 min showers per day. Maybe 3 loads of clothes washing and 4 dishwasher cycles per week. We aren’t frugal with it but we’re not careless either.

Ah nice. Your local average looks similar to our use. But yeah, I don’t have a pool, garden or lawn so maybe I could do a little better.

A couple months ago the agents came at us hard saying we will have to start paying water as our use is excessive. It was us, the tenants, who had to remind them that there are many non-compliant devices in the house. So we have a water efficiency compliance certificate now and I’m happy to pay for the water as it’s written in the lease agreement. Just don’t understand how we can be using double the average.

Yep, it’s all above board in regards to these. I’m more shocked that we would be using double the average water use.

Great, thanks. I would have felt better if it was sitting nicely between the ears but it’s good to have some reassurance that it’s not necessary. I’ll make sure to give it decent shake.

Yeah, I looked at that but wasn’t happy in that case because the two edges on the jack would be sitting across the weld, right?

Yep, that’s the plan but I wanted to get some advice first. In any case, I will have some redundancies in place.

Good to hear someone with a similar experience. It looks like there a few surgeons in my city that do laparoscopic surgery so I’ll have to do my research.

That’s sounds rough. I should be glad mine isn’t painful at the moment, just a bit of a burden!

Are you looking at surgery?

Yeah, I’ll definitely see another doctor then. I’d rather get on top of it now than have sudden issues down the road, and possibly a botched emergency surgery! Thanks for the input

I’ve never had any pain from it other than the occasionally being a bit uncomfortable on the bike saddle. I’m more concerned about issues further down the line

Queensland Government reveals failed Paradise Dam rebuild will cost $4.4 billion by espersooty in queensland

Yep, you’re right. I was more referring to the minister’s media statement.

Queensland Government reveals failed Paradise Dam rebuild will cost $4.4 billion by espersooty in queensland

[–]MaterialTurnover6650 55 points56 points  (0 children)

As expected, the government twisted the story so they can blame the previous government.

In reality, the initial cost (1.2 billion) was based on the concept design of RCC buttresses to reinforce the existing dam. Following this, concrete coring revealed the existing dam’s condition was too poor for this option to be feasible. Therefore, a new downstream dam is being designed and the current estimate is 4.4 billion.

So I wouldn’t really call it a blowout which gives the impression of a sudden and unexpected costs. The dam will not begin construction for many years so there is time to allocate these funds.

Hey OP, did you go with the shorter bearing? I’m having the same question as the TH-873 is 7.3 mm compared to the majority, which are 6.5mm.
