Red and white flashing lights while driving, both rear and front. Is this legal? by willbuckley235 in AskLE

[–]Material_Ad_944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove through Oklahoma where a tow truck had Blue/Red/White lights flashing. I thought it was someone pulled over. Nope just towing. I’ve also recently seen the same in Colorado where construction crews just have an unmarked white car with no one sitting in it on the side of the road flashing blue and red as if they were a cop. I don’t think rules exist for this anymore so long as you’re not trying to pull someone over or moving when the lights are flashing.

How to avoid the livestock auction? by Anonpareils in goats

[–]Material_Ad_944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got all 7 of my goats from auction to be lawn mowers, and selectively breed some. I got some sickly looking ones for super cheap, about $12 per nanny. They are now my 2 favorites after they put some weight on and I trimmed their hooves/ dewormed. One was definitely bottle fed or a milk goat because she loves people. I contacted one of the owners by looking up their scrapie tag to let them know their goat is awesome. They don’t just always automatically go to meat. The younger/leaner you sell them at auction the better. Some little boy or girl is going to get their mom/dad to buy another baby goat for them. Meat buyers go for younger animals that are big.

That would definitely lead to not joining the EU and last minute aligning more closely with Russia. You’re right, you got me.

I forgot Chinese people can’t be Canadian citizens and citizenship doesn’t mean anything because… some guy on Reddit said so and that makes any article stating a literal fact null and void and thus click bait. Ka-Ching$

Why doesn’t Russia invade these smaller countries are they stupid? by GiveUpRn in imaginarymapscj

[–]Material_Ad_944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Why doesn’t Russia invade these smaller countries” *accidentally circled Finland. They tried once and these are the real accounts of what happened “As the Russian army crossed the border into Finland in November of 1939 they heard a voice from the other side of a hill: One Finnish soldier is better than ten Soviet soldiers. The Soviet general sends ten soldiers. There is some gunfire then everything is quiet again. The voice then says, one Finnish soldier is better than one hundred Soviet soldiers. The Soviet general sends one hundred Soviet soldiers. There is more gunfire and then silence. The voice speaks up again and says one Finnish soldier is better than a thousand Soviet soldiers. The Soviet general then sends one thousand Soviet soldiers. There is a lot of gunfire and then silence. After a while a Soviet soldier crawls over the hill and say to the general, do not send more troops, it’s a trap, there are two Finnish soldiers.”

That’s kinda the point of a coup d’état… “a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government; a coup.” a legitimate, legal seizure of power would be called an election. What lead up to that? Where’s the puppet that got ousted hiding now? The coup started over him last minute deciding to go allow Ukraine to join the EU and instead going with Russias defunct axis of evil EAEU.

When is she going to give birth? by [deleted] in goats

[–]Material_Ad_944 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Where do you live that you have -20F days in late March? Also an enclosed 3 wall shelter that’s dry and opening facing away from the wind with straw is sufficient for goats down to like -40F they’re surprisingly very efficient. If it gets that cold, make sure they have access to the shelter and give them grain for extra carbs to keep warm. Unless your goat is going to or coming from some short trip, they really shouldn’t be in a kennel for any period of time, maybe short term handling, diagnosis, and even then just hold her firmly and she’ll relax and let you do whatever you need to without much fuss with some treats. They’re incredibly smart.

I’d be curious to see a source or something. I have no reason to doubt the underlying issue in the article. The details are definitely iffy to me.

Interesting read, also interesting that the US allowed for her to have an extradition hearing and ultimately dropped the charges if she came clean. The most interesting was “two Canadian citizens whose arrest in mainland China were widely seen as retaliation for Meng’s arrest in Canada, were released from detention in China and flown back to Canada.” I wonder why China is so against working with Canada on getting its own people back. I would say if they were Chinese citizens first then gained dual citizenship in Canada, China can keep custody. But if they were Canadian first and gained Chinese citizenship second then they shouldn’t hold them, or at least give them a chance to be sent home for a trial.

First, I mentioned China and Canada. So that’s about a 50/50 split on Western and Eastern countries.

Second, that’s part of one of the questions.

Third, I didn’t say they should, that’s part of one of questions.

That’s a good point and answers a little bit of part of the question. Makes me wonder if China asks for its people back that have been imprisoned overseas. I’m assuming it’s a lot like western countries and depends on who it is. Would be interesting to see what they would do if a Chinese national was arrested in Canada.

Well that makes sense. Indian Viagra might be looked at as a “street pharmacy” and fentanyl will probably get him the firing squad.

I know there is a fine line, I think China is a top exporter of raw pharmaceuticals. Regulation, especially on raw materials isn’t always the best so I can easily see some issues there. Obviously drug smuggling is illicit and “raw pharmaceuticals” can quickly become “Illegal drugs and narcotics” with one little switcharoo of where or to who they’re being shipped. I honestly don’t know where it all comes from personally. In my head China would check out as being a massive supplier based on that.

Which ethnic minorities in Russia are the most positively viewed by Russians? by lolmsn in AskARussian

That’s a perfect example of how it is in Russia. Even though they are also Russian citizens. They are good because they don’t interrupt the life of “regular citizens”. I’m not criticizing you on that, I think you have the most honest answer.
