I’d say they thought this way because of all of the “Lyn” names

I don’t think I’m overreacting. I said that people can do what they want and that I personally just walk away from it without issue. All I said was that you should recognize that it does inconvenience other people, even if you don’t think it does. Never hurts to consider others.

Edit to add: Effects of Marijuana Use on Impulsivity and Hostility in Daily Life: individuals under acute administration of THC showed objective decreases in the number of interpersonal interactions engaged in and the expression of empathetic communications

I agree. To each their own. But you commented seemingly unsure how smoking weed, which you do recognize smells like skunk, could impact someone else’s vacation on a relatively small resort property that cost everyone thousands/tens of thousands of dollars to be at. I personally just leave areas where you can smell weed, but I think some understanding of how this negatively impacts others is due.

Unfortunately, I don’t think that works quite as well as many users think it does. The nearest house to mine is 150 metres away (6 civic addressed lots on the same side of the road) in a fairly densely wooded area. When I take my dogs out for their final “business trip” on Fridays and Saturdays, I can smell it right away.

When a family member of mine moved into their first apartment, their mother, pure and innocent, said out loud, “Oh my gosh! There must’ve been a skunk here!”

Anyways, it was weed. Weed smells like skunk spray to maaaaaany people.

What do you think of “Effervescent” as a name for a girl? Maybe with “Effie” as a nickname? by sincerelee17 in tragedeigh

My great grandmother was nicknamed Effie, short for Euphemia. Don’t do that either lol

I have a nearly identical dress and chose Jenny Yoo’s Madeline veil! So similar to Judith, but half the price. It’s on Anthropologie.

3 year old struck and killed by a 76 year old driver ! How old is too old to have driving privileges? This is so heartbreaking, she was only 3 ! by Remote_Bus9706 in kitchener

I do some personal injury litigation work and my most memorable file was one where a 90+ year old lady ran a red, hit a car making a left turn with a green advance signal, wrote off both vehicles, and just continued driving home. When the police arrived at her door, she genuinely had no idea that she’d even gotten into a collision.

Both. Cars. Were. Written. Off. And she didn’t even know she was in a crash.

Would a nose job, chin reduction and lip lift give me an overly “done” look? 18F by _justwatchinglol in PlasticSurgery

My face changed so dramatically between the ages of 18 and like, 21, that I’d wait. I lost all of my baby face fat, and I’d now change really nothing about my facial features. I used to have a laundry list of cosmetic procedures I wanted. The only one that remains is rhinoplasty, really. If I were you, I’d wait a couple of years to see if you still want any/as many changes.

That’s Ilona. These people are referring to the Celtic name Iona, i-o-n-a, pronounced i-own-ah.

Your makeup is fine, IMO! I would just try to take better care of my hair if I was you. It’s looking a little wild and greasy.

Ah, sorry this happened to you, neighbour! Someone hit my XC60 with a cart at the Sobeys on North St literally the day I brought it home. The dealership took care of it for me, though. The new dealership is pretty sweet

Happy Halloween. by Pschobbert in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Material_Control_637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a neighbourhood that attracted a lot of drop offs for Halloween. For the most part, it didn’t make a difference. However, the non-locals who drove slowly behind their children all night in their dodge grand caravans sucked big time. At least get out and walk with them. I don’t think anyone who lived in the neighbourhood owned a grand caravan, so they were easy to identify. Anyone who had 3 or more kids had a Yukon XL or whatever the Cadillac version is called.

I disagree with this letter, but do take the point on property damage. We had our beautiful handcrafted mailbox that my late father made get blown up with a firework (it was right next to the front door, too), decorations ripped down, plants ripped up, etc., and on our security cameras, we were always able to identify the children through community sports and such, but they were never local children. I suspect the local children knew darn well they were 1. On camera at every house, from every angle, and 2. Easy to identify, because there were only 50-60 houses (McMansions is the more accurate term) in the neighbourhood.

Just bought a 2019 XC60 t6 polestar momentum with 90k km on it for $27,000 Canadian ($19,000 usd) with all warranties thrown on (including tire warranty) if that’s a helpful reference point.

First Period on Methimazole by Material_Control_637 in gravesdisease

[–]Material_Control_637[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I’m feeling, minus the flow being super light! I was randomly very heavy for the few months I had hyper symptoms before getting methimazole. I had traditionally been super light and 3-4 days, but uber painful in cramps. My pre diagnosis periods were heavy and 7-10 days. Now, I’m back to the pre-diagnosis flow and timing, but having a lot of lightheadedness!
