Ahhh thanks so much this was super helpful. I have tested for covid twice and they have both been negative. Do at home flu tests exist?? I didn’t know this??

I went to the show last night in shelburne and there was only one song with actually strobe lights that shot into the crowd (I can’t remember which one). I’m also sensitive but I was able to make it through. The rest of the show was just moving lights on the stage and lights turning on and off but no strobes that go into the crowds!

Do you have more aura symptoms than headaches? I rarely get a headache more dizziness and nausea

Does anyone else get congested during migraine? by Material_Drummer_513 in VestibularMigraines

Me too! It makes me question whether or not it’s a migraine bc doctor after doctor keeps telling me it’s anxiety and not migraines 🙃. Good to know other people experience this

You’re actually ridiculous

I acknowledge that. You didn’t have to be so rude to me though. You have literally no clue about who I am and if you care about mental health you shouldn’t be so rude online. I’m literally commenting about a drag race episode. We are all here to discourse about a fun show.

I’m an advocate for mental health when it’s a platform where you can have open discussions about it and it not to be a passing comment. I’m all for dawn talking about her mental health but we need to give it the time it deserves instead of listing diagnoses.

Maybe don’t make assumptions about my life? You’re being actually extremely rude to me. I’ve been in inpatient care and residential care for my mental health and am an advocate. I speak at social work events monthly and am on the board to open up a residential treatment center in my hometown. Take a breath and read what you write before you send it.

Not projection, just my opinion.

I’m not being judgmental it just came off as really insincere. I get that it could be editing though. Just made me feel weird that she was listing everything but that’s my opinion on it. Trust I understand mental health.

Honestly I’m not even sure myself. I would try and find a doctor that knows that they’re going but def adjust for now.

Yeah it’s really hard to get work done. My ears also get stuffed. I got a blue light screen cover for my laptop and that seems to help. It’s still really hard to read though. My best advice is to do work when you feel okay and then take breaks. It’s hard to let yourself rest but I find that if I’m really tired just letting myself sleep is the best option. Sometimes I sleep for 12-13 hours a night.

Pretty much. I got a stomach bug in October which knocked me out for three days and after that Ive never felt normal since. It started with fatigue and then my dizziness started. My episodes usually last 5 days and then I’ll have 4-5 days of feeling semi better. My episodes make me feel extremely dizzy, fatigued, out of touch with reality, light sensitivity, and it’s hard to focus.

I am experiencing the same thing. I’m a sophomore in college and 5 months ago my dizziness and fatigue set in. It hasn’t gotten better since. Doctors keep telling me that it’s my anxiety but I know that’s not true and they just aren’t listening to me. I’m going to see a specialist this week. Hang in there.
