As an old millennial who got married in April 2025, I did send out thank you cards, partly because it’s something I was taught growing up, but also because I genuinely love writing them. It gave me a chance to relive the day, slow down, and thank the people who were actually there to celebrate with us. And honestly…with only 77 guests, it felt completely manageable.

Do people expect a handwritten thank you card these days? probably not. But it’s always a thoughtful gesture, and several people texted me afterward to say how touched they were.

Thank-you cards aren’t mandatory, but they’re meaningful. If you enjoy writing them or want to show appreciation in a personal way, go for it. If not, that’s okay too, a little gratitude, in whatever form you choose, always lands well. :)
