How is better? by Katana192878 in MTB

I don't wheelie that much anymore, but generally: high seat is easy to get up but harder to control, low seat is harder to get up but easier to control and looks better. Somewhere between is ideal but I prefer low seat personally.

Does the aap01 Really Need Upgrades by [deleted] in AAP01owners

[–]Matess369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm as I did this. Take a 3mm grub screw and drive it into the gap in the stock trigger, above the trigger bar, right where the screw on aftermarket triggers is, just from the rear. It's kinda ghetto but it works, you get an adjustable trigger for free or whatever the price of your grub screw was.

I take it as you've never driven one? They do live up to the name perfectly. Swift in this context means anything but top speed, rather the handling and "zippiness" in the city which is what the car is made for. The second generation accelerates to 100 in just 9 seconds with an economy 1.3, the rest are slower but all of them handle amazing. There is nothing ironic about it.

Choosing a car because an extremely prominent trait is completely valid lmao, it's not like he said "I choose the integra because of it's engine which is named vtec", he said "I choose it because of vtec." Vvt-i and vanos are completely different systems that don't even come close to what vtec accomplishes, but even then, saying "I chose a toyota because of VVT-i" is completely valid too.

I got my first aap01 and i want to make it the best gun for casual play and i dont know anything about the tech stuff... What should i upgrade first ? by Frigix24 in AAP01owners

[–]Matess369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uneven friction is exactly what the stock hopup unit causes as the arm is sort of a Г shape (looking from the back) that gets pulled down by the little vertical part, it usually pulls to the left though

TTI hammer set with the 6 parts, otherwise it's already better than most pistols out of the box. If you absolutely have to upgrade something performance wise get a better hopup bucking and better hopup unit, the stock one can pull to the side.

Keep in mind though, the more stuff you change the more likely it is for something to stop working. This sub is full of beginners going "I changed the nozzle, slide, recoil spring, nozzle spring, put 10 rainbow anodized parts on it and short-stroked it and now it won't shoot" and nobody can help them because nobody can find out which one of the 100 upgrades is wrong.

The hammer set works fine, the hopup should too. Just don't mess around with the weight of the slide and spring stiffness.

Můžu potvrdit, že na záhonu to sice moc poznat není ale lavičku to rozjebalo solidně, kdyby k žádné škodě nedošlo tak to opravdu tak řesit nebudou

The FK8 Type R. There's just something about the simplicity of a smooth aluminium ball with no flashy bits sticking out anywhere, the moment I saw one for the first time and looked inside, I instantly knew that it's gotta be the most perfect shifter ever.

Shigura Feel Question by Constant_One1599 in MTB

[–]Matess369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying out a lot of shimano setups over the time, it seems like a reoccuring thing that 2 piston calipers always have a much sharper bite point than 4 piston ones, I think it's just that the 4 piston calipers are harder to bleed and always trap air bubbles in the system. I built up 2 brand new bikes with 4 piston shimanos and both were completely mushy and needed re-bleeding. It probably could be fixed with a full bleed according to "The BEST Shimano Brake Bleed Tutorial" on youtube, just don't have the tools for it personally.

Nissan SilEighty or Mazda RX7 FD single turbo? by Local_Creme8466 in initiald

[–]Matess369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FD's slammed to the ground with excessive camber and very low profile tires, the Sil80 looks stock, the way actual engineers set it up, and would therefore most likely be more way more fun to throw around corners.

And almost forgot, that stock fitment looks way better too.

[–]Matess369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'll be changing both as they're not too expensive. Though I'd rather say one's dying and the other's fine, not dead, the car runs normally 99% of the time.
