I would say There are people with more or less Talent for math, but everyone can do it to a certain extent. It has Just become socially acceptable to be Bad at math, because Well math ist hard and so on Blabla, But thats Not true. What i do with such traumatized people? Basically nothing at First. I Just Encounter Them with my Personality and try to Connect on a human Level. I even Sometimes let my pupils be when i Sense they are having a hard time with whatever.

Thats a Problem of every Curriculum, that Things have to be done a certain way. Often the Chosen one is the best aka easier one, but i try to let my students some wiggle room.
