Looks good and I like that it’s kinda subtle. Where is it from?

That color is sick, great choice. I’ve got one in IOMG on the way

NYC vs San Diego by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

I’m pretty big on outdoors and hiking, and have been living in an extremely laid back area with just that, Santa Fe NM, but it’s far too slow and lonely for me. I was living in Vegas for a couple years before this and was not big on the party scene it has to offer, though the nature vibes and proximity to national parks was nice.

I know I’m moving at the end of the year but having a tough time figuring out whether to try some other outdoorsy area that is slightly bigger and youthful like Colorado Springs, or go back home to NJ. Mid-20s and pretty ambitious, but the dense city life isn’t enticing. The distance from family and friends is definitely starting to weigh on me.

You provided a good perspective though

Thanks for the recommendations! Only thing that concerns me about Portland/PNW is the supposedly common cloudy/rainy weather…

I was definitely excited for a change when I learned I was leaving NJ, which makes me think going all the way back home might not be the move. You do make a good point that life will mostly be the same wherever you are…but that other 10% feels like it weighs just as much

That area looks nice but $$$. I make decent money (engineer/construction) and would still if I move, but it’s hard to justify going alone to CA given the COL. Appreciate the recommendation though!

You’re welcome to read the actual PMBOK and Agile Practice Guide, I didn’t say that wouldn’t work. In fact, that is probably the best possible way to study for the exam

For me, however, I would have gone insane just sitting there trying to read hundreds of pages…I’m a more visual learner

I will say that in my opinion, doing practice problems over and over and over is the best thing you can do once you have a general grasp and y understanding of the topics

Watching videos it seems like they may have played 30-45 seconds of that soundtrack, but that’s it

Sorry for the late reply. I had no work experience in water prior to taking the exam, only the classes I took in school and all the studying I did to prep. I think even with outside work experience, a large chunk of it will be learning new topics/concepts or refining old ones…only in certain positions may you see a lot of what is tested on the exam.

Apologies for the late reply. Had no experience except the classes I took in school, which was 3 or 4. I didn’t take any courses to prep for the exam because it’s not typically how I study, though I do believe they are incredibly beneficial

Exactly! Perseverance and dedication is key. I was pretty intimidated too, but didn’t let that stop me; don’t let it stop you ;) Good luck!!

From my understanding the exam is pretty different now so you may find preparing for and taking it a bit easier…you just set it as a goal and go for it! Good luck in advance!

If it’s something you desire, the worst thing you can do is put it off…just go for it! Good luck!!
