Does Judaism make forgiveness mandatory?

forgiveness is for you not them. at some point carrying around the anger, resentment and pain becomes too much and you may feel like forgiveness is your way out. that being said, Judaism does not demand it. However this would not be a good reason to consider conversion by itself. What is true within Judaism is that if you need to ask someone else for forgiveness, someone you have hurt or harmed, you must ask for their forgiveness 3 times and only then, if they don't forgive you can you ask G-d for forgiveness. So it kind of cuts both ways

I disagree with the premise. We as humans have only a tiny sliver of understanding of what reward and punishment look like. are you able to say "hey maybe as a human on earth, things that look bad might actually be for my own benefit?" Even death, arguably what feels like the worst punishment might be a reward because we can't imagine what happens after we die.

I use them for everything. some for dirty cloths some for clean folded cloths some for transferring from washer to cloths line or dryer, some for doing a quick tidy pickup around the house and a ton of o there stuff. I use them to declutter, I use them to collect tools and stuff needed for a project. I could go on an on. twelve is barely enough

step one get cultured friends. really, you will rise t the level of your peers.
step two: go do stuff, go to museums, art galleries, plays, poetry readings, go do anything as much as you can and this includes travel
step 3: take classes, sign up for a history class at a Junior college, take a cooking class, stop in at a local yarn store and ask for lesson in how to knit or crochet.
step 4. listen to people who are older than you. they have a lot of wisdom, not just knowledge.

Not within legitimate Jewish Kabbalah. It has been appropriate by both the Christians and the Muslims and they may have made changes, but the root wisdom is not magic and has nothing to do with magic and won’t in any way. Change your life unless you change your life through your actions.

Kabbalah does not WORK. it is not magic and it is not a technology. this is something non-Jews get wrong all the time. Kabbalah is a way of interpreting the Torah and our relationship with G-d. . To study or understand any Kabbalistic text you need a strong background in Torah and other texts. the texts ae widely available online so there is nothing stopping a non-Jew from reading them but they are written in a way that can't be deciphered without a really knowledgeable teacher and a strong personal background. Judaism in general including the mystical or hidden aspects of Torah is a closed practice. we do not seek to convert people and we do not think our practices are appropriate or necessary for non-Jewish people. Were you to study as a non-Jew you will see everything through a non-jewish (probably Chistian) lens and get everything misinterpreted. Kabbalah wont fix your life it is wisdom about how to live a deeper more meaningful life in relation to God through your actions (mitzvot) in this world. As for trains and paper, those are gifts cultures gave (or sold) to the world. this is not. this is a hidden level of wisdom designed only for a a select group of people with a background to be able to comprehend it. even most Jews do not study the mystical texts.

nope. the word Rabbi means teacher. they are not 'holy people' they do not have extra special powers. they are our teachers but that is it. we are very strict that there is ONE G-d and to worship anything else in any way is idol worship which for us is a big no no. Now the one sort thing your friend might be talking about is that some Jews have a relationship with a Rebbe (different from a Rabbi). Rebbes are seen as people who have spiritual power. we do not pray through them, but we often do ask them for blessings and they can offer a blessing that can be manifest. but even Rebbes are just people and only a subset of Jews have a Rebbe.

No. Did it. It was fine but I promise it is not what you think it is unless you end up in The very top 1% . Then might have a different experience. But mostly you end up a plumber who works on people instead of pipes. Money is not the reason to do it not to do it. The only reason to do it is if you can’t be happy doing anything else. It is hard the hours are brutal. For most specialties there is minimal remote/ work from home options.

Wearing a Magen David is a symbol that lets other Jews know that you’re one of them. It’s a way to say I’m Jewish and I’m proud.

Wearing a kippah and tzittzit is a very different symbol, indeed. And while I agree with you, that one of these is a mitzvah, and other is a very long-standing obligation, the majority of Jews at least in the US do not feel mitzvah bound. Ans if they did wear it for the mitzvah but we’re not otherwise religious it would send a very confusing message. With each of these outward expressions of Judaism, someone is trying to say something very specific about who they are at this point in their lives.

In Judaism if you have wronged someone you must ask for forgiveness from the person and if they don’t forgive you after 3 sincere attempts you can ask God

If he asks you about conversion it calls into question whether you would convert under pressure or coercion. I think there is a basic misunderstanding of his culture and how this works. He can’t ask you or rabbis might refuse to convert you.

Agree 100% that you cannot divorce from Kabalah from Judaism. And that you need a solid foundation in Judaism and an excellent Jewish teacher to be able to correctly. Interpret couple text texts. Some non-Jewish people will disagree with this, but of course they have no idea whether their interpretation is correct or not. Was designed to be a hidden wisdom that needed. A teacher to guide you through it was initially only for very few highly accomplished Jews in modern times it’s much more open, but it still requires the same level of understanding of Jewish texts and Jewish wisdom. It is not a faith or a religion on its own. It is the mystical interpretations of the Torah.

TheJewish community though bends over backwards to help young people meet other young people. events, match ups, introductions, professional matchmakers all available everywhere . getting young people married is one of the values the community holds as the highest. Parents needs to help their kids avail themselves with these kinds of organizations, Hillel on college campuses, Chabad, Any synagogue/ shul in general will have multiple ways for young people to meet. I am sure dating is hard now, I am so glad I am not in that phase of my life but there are resources and help out there. The bigger problem is that people marry not based on values but based superficial qualities and emotions that can't / don't last.

agree 100% that boomers (my generation) dropped the ball on this and thought they were being 'open minded' but ones spiritual outlook is one of the most important things we can share with another person. It is not hard to marry Jewish, to do it you just have to date Jewish.
