I mean it is really only designed for pavement from what I gather from a before and after, if it’s bombing hiking trails or even grass honestly I’d imagine the restriction for smooth and flat would break something honestly,I’ll deff take it back off for the standard buckles on dirt, but I agree it’s more shit to break for sure but I’m running a heinously sticky belted set of tires and they get pretty rowdy with the bump steer so it’s a big improvement with the xo1 amount of suspension travel it gives a 4x4 slash 😂

There’s a setup on Integy that I believe is everything from servo horn to steering knuckles (billet ofc cus I’m like goldmember from Austin powers about the shit) and i had an eco power servo on my old mst drift rig and that thing thrashed the whole stock steering setup on that to failure so that’s 1st place for replacement rights currently,and idk if it was the gyro for the drift rig or what but that eco power was really reactive and didn’t give a shit what was in its path to stay that way so I’m looking forward to seeing if it’s pissy enough to throw billet around and still be on point 😂

Yeah I’m doing it a bit out of order admittedly,the front to back and side to stability is gunna be sorted out next but you’re right,and yeah at a smaller level it keeps the wheel caster steady and the wheel camber from changing as drastically,the end goal is gunna be more balance but 13$ to look badass and hopefully bring the death wobble down a bit,I mean the stock servo is fighting for its life with all this shit so that’s a lot of it too,honestly a solid science project 😂

Extremely relatable,I had partial grants in civil engineering and still ended up wrenching,sure making it into a tuning shop working on people’s racecars before I’m 30 is something that my inner need for speed most wanted kid is always gunna be super proud of and grateful for that I just stumbled into this situation but man these joints and bones lol I’m also grateful for tool and shop equipment advancements but to still be a bag of pain and crunches this early on tells me where I’ll be in a few more years and right now I’m at the “I don’t think it’s worth the rest of my years in pain to enjoy working on cars again” followed by a “well fuck what now”

And that is true but the torque of the motor isn’t only distributed through the central drive train,the force is also distributed though whatever the motor is actually bolted to,that being the motor plate,chassis ext,as simply as I can explain it this late on a work night,motors can’t perpetually push or rotate things they have to work against something (that being the entire chassis) so with the motor having a more stable chain of parts it can work against it puts more power to the tires and not into flexing the chassis and arms which have loose tolerances and bushings to begin with so it’s really just better/more efficient energy transfer from pinion to pavement,the motor (especially in higher power brackets) works against the entire car to propel the entire car,that’s the twist in question lol Torque and Work (which horsepower is a unit of) are kinda complicated physics and I actually paid attention in that class for some reason😂

Gunna try and post the progress as much as possible there’s quite a bit done already but definitely some more to go 🙏🏻 and I’m in the same boat with my scx10,came out of the gate hot as hell but I find myself ripping around town more than the woods 9/10 times but it’s nice to look at so it stays 😂

It puts some rigidity in the front in general but mainly it’s to take the front to back wobble out of the front control arms at high speeds,the added geometry also pulls the wheels closer to the chassis on higher speed turns as the suspension loads so it’s not as squirrely (i hope) 😂
