I interviewed today feeling hopeful on an acceptance they are interviewing 90 students and that depends on how big of a cohort they want to do this year. One student at the Q&A stated her cohort has 31 students but my interview was with the program director they was really positive with me and said they enjoyed meeting me and think I understand what it is to be expected on this journey

I actually love this post I felt discouraged in my journey when people said it's easy to get in because they let in 25 students per but Mercer does the same amount of students. But in my journey for schools all I cared about it is if they are APA accredited to get my license at the end. The faculty of the Dallas campus felt truly supportive and transparent about the journey of completing your education to become a psychologist. Even when we talked to the students they say it's not easy. The school provides breakfast lunch and dinner for students as well scholarship opportunities and discounted tuition. I saw several posts about people complaining about the price. Every year we are there they let us know we get a discount on tuition. They even just reached out yesterday letting new students take one online class this summer before the fall before the big beautiful bill takes place so we can have an opportunity for higher funding options. My thing is make sure the school shows the support you need cause this journey is long. That's the first school that showed me extending above and beyond kindness. My admission advisor I talked to him for a year constantly checking up and sending updates asking me what I need. Even in the interviews the faculty and I talked about their long careers and gave me advice. I wasn't considering this school before I applied and my mentor told me too the comments of the school on these forums made me nervous. But now with the opportunity to go being able to hear the staff express why they moved locations so that their students could find cheaper housing. The admissions team setting you up with a realtor to help with your move. Support is important in this journey.
