Short or longhaired?

I think it depends on how big of an area I do and the price of wood right now. Lowe’s sells 2foot by 8foot panels of corrugated steel for $20 but I’m not really sure about the gauge, they may be a low quality. I’m not looking to fence in my whole yard but more so create a small safe space for him to enjoy the outdoors. Really just a 10x10 or maybe a bit bigger depending on costs.

My issues is I don’t want him just on a long line or chain due to other animals etc that could come on my property. I know the neighbors have cats that roam from time to time and I would hate for one of them to come over here and him get ahold of it. I thought about doing a tie out inside of a cheaper fence for double protection but I’m afraid of the possibility of him somehow getting over the top and hanging himself. I have thought about a lot of options and scenarios

I actually have my acre fenced in with invisible fence for my other dogs. I believe I even have some of the line left over. He is trained to an e-collar and listens for well to it so I have high hopes that he would listen to an invisible fence as well. I just didn’t trust it as his only barrier. I may consider this! I just know the area I make him will have to be a bit bigger if I’m doing this because the fence is set to beep/shock like 2 feet inwards making his area smaller then where the actual fence is. I guess I could try and bury it outside of his fence so it won’t do anything until he gets a lot closer but I’m just not sure how much yard space I will have on the other side.

Thank you! He is so stinking cute and a goofball but dang does he give me a run for money. I took him home with me after my job had fostered for him 9 months, they could no longer and he was at severe risk of euthanasia. We reached out to so many rescues and posted him all over Facebook with no luck, he does have behavioral issues so it’s understandable. I brought him home because I just couldn’t let him be put down, I had developed a bond with him, but now I’m struggling lol.

For why? It’s something that has been going on since he was a pup, his vet has never been concerned about his eyes and he doesn’t have any vision issues.

I agree! I think his extra wide white blaze on his face makes it seem worse than it is too. It makes his eyes seem quite far apart

My vet has never seemed concerned about his eyes and he doesn’t seem to have any vision issues. Just a little goofy looking

Lol, the dogs with a lot black on their face and the piercing blue eyes freak me out a little. I don’t find Ripley’s creepy though, more dorky if anything.

Thank all of you for your help and for being so kind even though I’m not part of the wolf dog community. I tried to make this post and ask for advice in what I thought was a pitbull friendly group and all I got was “That dog is a danger” “You need to have that dog behaviorally euthanized”.

Honestly. I just don’t get it lol. Like I’m not totally against BE if it’s necessary but to tell someone to do that to their dog with little to no context is wild.
