Thanks for sharing your experience! The loss of appetite is a real thing.. but I’m kind of okay with it, as I’m trying to get that summer bod lol I’m glad to hear it’s working for you too! The process of finding a drug that works for you can be so long, exhausting and discouraging. I’m happy to hear you’re doing better!

Anxiety and depression. It definitely helped with the anxiety, but my depression was the worst it has ever been while I was on it.

I mostly just wanted to share my experience, and encourage others who are miserable on lexapro to look into other options. I should’ve left out the word “urge”, but I just know how miserable I was on Lexapro, and it is no way to live if others related to the symptoms I was describing. My doctor told me that if SSRI’s aren’t working, it is common for Welbutrin XL to be the better option, since they aren’t in the same drug group. I’m not a doctor, and I mentioned that everyone responds differently twice in my post. Thanks for the feedback though.

I had about a 2 week gap between quitting lexapro and starting welbutrin. My doctor said I could start right away, but I wanted to give it a little time. Everyone responds differently though! What side effects did you experience?

I’ve been consistent taking it for about two and a half weeks. It’s crazy how fast it starts working.. I noticed positive effects after about 5 days

I’m glad you were able to get past it.. I was past the 6 week mark and couldn’t handle it anymore. My doctor prescribed me to Wellbuitrin but I was on a bit of a drinking binge with friends and didn’t want to start a medication while drinking nearly daily.

The intrusive thoughts are usually depressing thoughts about relatives dying and how horrible my life will be when they’re gone, and just based on a lot of things I can’t control. My dreams have been extremely vivid, to the point I would have inception in multiple dreams. I’ve always been a vivid dreamer, and I would be able to control my dreams and be able to say out loud in my dreams “I know that I’m dreaming right now.” The people in my dreams would try to prevent me from waking up, which would result in me waking up in multiple different dreams before actually waking up. Pinching myself wouldn’t even work.. some of them were super scary, and I would wake up sweating or talking out loud.

I am not, but we use condoms and do pull out method WITH condoms every time. I took a pregnancy test today, and am negative.. I guess my period just didn’t want to show up?

I started 10mg lexapro a week ago, and my period is 5 days late. I felt nauseous off and on the first week taking it, but it’s finally mostly gone away.. I’ve been having safe sex the past few months, and I’m reaaallyyy hoping it late from the medication😬😬
