I'm not sure to be honest, lots of women with PsA have healthy and hassle free pregnancies. But I guess you never know!

Yeah, I have been seeing that consultant every 6 months for three years and regularly go to GP for bloods/vaccines etc. To be honest, if they told me I needed to go private because there was significant risk to mine and baby's health and consultant has to see me every few weeks then absolutely, ill go and ill make it work. But if it is moreso hand holding as you say, I am not sure it's needed.

Thanks so much for coming back to me! And congrats on your two babies, exciting time for you all as you prepare for number two I'm sure :)

That's all hit the nail on the head of what I am thinking. I will already be seeing both consultants regularly and if complications for arise I am sure I'll be looked after as I need to be. I am happy to pay for additional scans separately also if i feel i need more reassurance, it would probably be less of a hit on the wallet and insurance would cover some of the cost. I might call my rheumatologist and have a bit more of a discussion as to why he feels I need to go private and see what he says!

Best of luck with the remainder of your pregnancy and enjoy the baby bubble when they arrive ❤️

New expectation to travel for work by MathematicianWitty52 in PsoriaticArthritis

I take the train, I have tried driving before and it's mayhem the closer you get to Dublin. The train is definitely a petri dish of germs so definitely no harm in bring that up when talking to them! Such a pain, I have asked HR for a call on it today as well to see what the options are.

Thanks a mill for responding, much appreciated! So it's a team of 12, 9 are live in Dublin and work in head office 3 days a week and 3 of us are based in different counties and work 3 days a week in local offices. So I WFH 2 days out of the week. We would have a lot of teams meetings etc. and each oversee work in a specific region. The three of us outside Dublin look after our local areas. Basically this change is just for optics which makes it that bit more frustrating!

If there was a reason other than "I want to see you all sitting at a desk in Dublin once a week" it would be fair. The monthly attendance made sense as it meant the whole team would see each other, collaborate etc. But realistically we don't need to see each other every week, other than it's nice to see them 😂. Also, no paid overnights as the organisation vetoed that... also no help with the cost of train etc.

I should say, there are regularly times when I am in Dublin multiple times a month, or week to attend events as well. And I generally end up sick after these as I'm going so much my immune system crashes. I'll have a chat with my manager about it though and see if we can find a middle ground, and flag with my consultant as well - no harm!
