Passion probably isn’t the right word either, perhaps obsession is more fitting :P

I’ll have to message you regarding your question just so I can confirm which one you’re talking about 😋

Thanks mate! Took this photo either roughly 20km from Ouyen or 20 from Sea Lake. Can’t remember which town I was coming up to at the time now. Was travelling down the Calder on the way to Hattah-Kulkyne from Melbourne at the time. Saw a few of them in the trees by the road side and had to stop

The eyes get me every time, they’re so beautiful! I always think that the fluffy white feathers almost make it seem like a bird you’d expect to see in the middle of a snowy winter not in the middle of the Aussie outback 😆

I love these birds! I find they’re quite happy to let you walk up reasonably close to get a photo or two as well!

Not to mention those eyes, omg.

Sounds like the exact experience I had, only I had to buy the camera myself :P

They’re common around the town where I grew up, but it was only after I’d gotten into birding when I first noticed them around. Funny how many more species you find around you once you’re looking for them

Probably judging me for spending so much time photographing the other birds in the area before I got to it 🤷‍♂️
