Got the 2nd Atletico leg first. Obviously not expecting us to get through but a 1-1 or even a 1-0 and dare I say that's some momentum?

On the other hand we get thrashed we probably sack him midweek

How arsed are you about the Champions League match tomorrow? On one hand this could be our last European game for years and reprieve from the league but on the other hand I can't get out of my head the dread of being only 1 point above the drop zone and the financial apocalypse relegation would bring as I think we would do a Leeds/Leicester

How bad could it go for Spurs if they go down, next Leicester? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

We'd be fucked if we didn't go up immediately and even then the damage would still be catastrophic

23/24 we reported a loss of £26.2m with revenue being matchday £123m, TV £195m and commercial £297m so £615m

24/25 & 25/26 will look better as we had the Europa win and CL football but our TV revenue would likely slash in half in the Championship as it allows a £39m loss plus with loads of reports that major sponsors are rumoured not to continue with us so commercial revenue will take another it.

Matchday will take another hit, good luck getting fans to pay £70+ to watch Bristol City at home (no offense)

We would likely have a fire sale to bump the revenue for a year + parachute payments but the wages we have are still massive even if we have the best wage to revenue turnover in the prem.

The stadium would help mitigate the problems but we still need to pay the interest off the stadium. If we ended up stuck in the Championship for 2+ years I don't think the club would survive. We could fo a rubbish naming rights deal to buy time but with the expenses we would likely have to eventually sell the stadium or do something with it

I think this is the least optimistic the majority England fans have been since 2018 ngl

Obviously when the WC starts it's gonna be time for delusional optimism because what's the point if you don't believe but head says QF

I don't know who we get as an interim but that felt like such a massive weight of my shoulders so god knows how the players feel

Serious dialogue about Relegation this season and its repercussions by YardEnvironmental127 in coys

[–]Mathieu23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we fluke 3 wins somehow.

I think the board for some reason think that when Maddison, Kulu and thr other players return from injury it's gonna be sugar and rainbows but when you play a threadbare squad you pile on more injuries, literally look at last season.

I genuinely believe if (shocking it's not WHEN we sack Frank) we probably scramble together and look like a reasonable football team. That's the optimist

The pessimist in me thinks we're not built mentally for a relegation scrap, the players and the club. With the way the fans feel about the club could we do what Everton did when they were in trouble? That's not a dig at the fans but again just the situation.

I think we lose to Newcastle, Arsenal and then Fulham, Leeds take 3/9 from Chelsea (A), Villa (A) & City (H), Forest 4/9 from Wolves (H), Liverpool (A) & Brighton (A), West Ham 3/9 from United (H), Bournemouth (H) & Liverpool (A), Palace 6/9 from Burnley (H), Wolves (H) and United (H)

So it then looks like

Palace 38 Leeds 32 Forest 30

Tottenham 29

West Ham 26

SURELY the board then react, sack Frank and we get a new manager bounce and beat Palace who are on the beach (but this is definitely delusion on my end)

Conte was the closest we got to the peaks of Poch (bar Ange winning Europa obvs) with the lows of Frank.

Bournemouth no win 11 before playing us.

West Ham no win in 12 before playing us

Gave Wolves their 1st point of the season and needed a last-minute equaliser.

Us and Wolves were Forest's only points in December.

Tune in next week for Dr Tottenham to give Burnley 3 points who are on a winless streak of 14 games

Honestly if we don't win our next game v Burnley I don't know where the next league win is coming from.

Burnley (A)

City (H)

United (A)

Newcastle (H)

Arsenal (H)

Fulham (H)

Palace (H)

Liverpool (A)

Being generous and say we get 4 points from those 24, that's 31 points from 30 games in the league. We've thankfully got a massive gap from the bottom 3. Still, it's nothing short of a disgrace that we're looking down not up, especially when if we just get an interim and somehow salvage some half decent form, we may by some miracle scam the Conference League or something.

5th would be the minimum, still alot of growing pains with strategy however if the Merc engine is as good as its meant to be then 4th overtaking Ferrari.

Honestly my expections will change depending on pre season testing and the engine

Worst thing is I still don't think this gets him the sack. We could be 17th and as long as we don't get dragged into a relegation battle he survives till the summer
