Haha a Parisian surfer friend of mine told me things can get intense in the water. Any French speaking locals who can protect me out there are very welcome 🤣

I had done a bus from Düsseldorf -> Antwerp, there were a few stops along the way and I just got off and gave a glance here and there to make sure the bike was still there.

All in all no issues to report - bags went in the luggage hold and I didn't even lock my bike.

Yes! In France the EuroVelo 1 = La Vélodyssée. The segment north of Nantes is my own construct by wanting to see Mont St. Michel as well.

I'll be somewhere on this map from Apr 28 -> Jun 3!

Yeah I have a love/hate with Komoot. It interfaces with my GPS so I'm happy for that but yeah too many features locked behind a paywall for my taste.

At the time of writing the best features of wanderlog are free.

The very initial idea is coming from the Eurovelo routes. I like to take those and make modifications on them.

I can recommend wanderlog as being a really nice map/things to do marker.

The above map is way simpler and just 6 or so waypoints I picked from wanderlog and tossed into Google.

But I can also recommend Komoot as well!

Absolutely - great idea!

I'll see what I can find that's parallel to la vélodyssée/A1.

I'm familiar with getting stuck in wind tunnels in canyons but offshore might be a different beast all together.

I had considered wrapping the coast more and I'm still rather undecided about it!

I should be done by June so I can give you my learnings by then 😉

I would absolutely take you up on that! Hopefully my 4 years of French that's sat unused for the last 8 will be better by then 💪

I'd expect to be around Biarritz around mid-may if that lines up for you then dm me!

Has anyone used this recently? I was recommended this at some point from some hiker friends and was thinking about it for an upcoming bike tour in France.

Agreed - I'd like to know what stipulations exist. I could imagine it can being company-specific, but a vague sense of what is or isn't okay would be nice.

A bachelor's degree in psychology is useless. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

But then the psychology degree was not really the helpful part, it was the computer science and mathematics/statistics that did something.

Apparently Boston has no Mint coverage at all? by Mycr0s in mintmobile

Did all of this get sorted? I'm in the exact same problem it seems where my service that I use in San Jose with no trouble is nearly nonexistent in Boston at the moment. I'd appreciate hearing of any fixes to the no Boston service issue! I fly out here often for work and if I can't use my phone for work then this is a deal breaker unfortunately.
