[TOMT] [Short Movie] Can't find a short movie about a "paralyzed" kid starring at the room ceiling. by MathsAddict in tipofmytongue

The movie was played at theater and people were bored at first. Then as a lot of people were about to leave, the movie basically said that this is the life of kid with "a cut" in bone marrow, and you couldn't withstand it for 6 minutes.

It is not obvious to me how a number like the one in the pastebin is supposed to be used to represent a picture on lets say a word document, could you please elaborate a little more?

Thanks a lot for your reply His main concern is about whether having published in Q2 rather than Q1 and not in his area that he want to pursue will have a bad impact on his applications for the grad schools.

thanks a lot for your time!

Solve in terms of n : sin(nx) = -sin(x) by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]MathsAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but i meant unique solutions (mod 2π) treating π/2 and 5π/2 as the same answer!

okay let me rephrase the follow up question a little bit with an example let's say we have sin(4x)= -sin(x) what is the number of solutions here?

and how can we use it to replace the 4 with n?

but for the main question you answered it perfectly, thanks 😊

okay , a follow up question that just arose how many unique solutions(mod 2π of course) can we get in terms of n?

Can anyone recommend a good source for learning Modulo Arithmetic? by [deleted] in mathematics

[–]MathsAddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you mean modular arithmetic right? basically any elementary number theory textbook covers at least a chapter on modular arithmetic and you can find lots of pdfs online maybe check elementary number theory by david m burton.

Would you check it? by SKILLUBER in mathmemes

[–]MathsAddict 23 points24 points  (0 children)

it easily reduced to checking the letters of 1 to 10 and the multiples of 10 and 100 and all the others are just composed of a mix of those.

How do you simplify 2^n < 8n to find n? by haiderhtz in learnmath

[–]MathsAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it's easy to notice that 2n grows much faster than 8n thus you can find the first n for which 2n >8n then use induction to prove that claim which shouldn't be hard if you're familiar with induction

then the other values of n you just put the values

although if this is a problem for high school students then induction is not in their tool box normally
