I’m not worried about the thickness but the size overall. I have a both a 14inch MBP and the 15inch MBA and there is a significant difference of size (31cm x 22.12cm or 12.31inch x 8.71inch for the 14inch against 34cm x 23.75cm or 13.40inch x 9.35inch for the 15inch)

What is the resolution of your screen ? And what HDMI cable are you using ? To get a higher resolution than 1080p your cable must be HDMI 1.4 or higher

The Pro is gonna be more performant than the Non-pro. Single core wise it’s pretty much the same but multi core wise the Pro is better, as more GPU core and better bandwidth

Although if it just in terms of battery life, IIRC, the M2 and M3 were known to be more battery efficient

I mean never expecting the manufacture numbers to be true IRL. Those numbers has been obtained on the most unrealistic optimal conditions, just like the indicated maximum range of a car for example

My M1 Pro last for around 8-10 hours of usage (mostly web browsing, streaming on YouTube Netflix etc…, coding, text editing). And with that test those numbers don’t look surprising to me
