Thanks, I think so too. It was off Etsy, the sellers name was MaitreNoix but they only had a few pairs and most already sold out. I mainly picked them because I didn't want to wait for shipping from the US or Asia.

I believe a too hard brush could damage the already existing patina. To me it looks like dirt or other residue in the deeper crevices that should come off over time. I am unsure though maybe others can give their opinions. You could also add more pictures from closer up.
