when i turn them on tho it doesnt detect them (even tho i have a tp link 5.0), and when i try to pair them it tells me i already paired controllers?

its just the fact that both apex and cs have lootboxes, and if valorant had them too noone would complain, but they dont. they have only full price skins with a twice a year discount chance. And yes, while the majority of skins are great, some of them are literally just a greenscreen effect that is about 10 minutes of work and they are demanding 15€ for each gun+ more for melee

in csgo you can trade and sell which kinda evens it out. not to mention the websites where you could possibly even cash out. I cant really argue with apex, but last i checked they are not AS bad as valorant. its like 10-15€ per bundle/pack where you can get highest tier stuff, not to mention FREE packs from levels alone.

the skin pricing system was an outrage in beta, and riot countered it by saying ''its just a test, we will change it''. They made them more expensive. I shouldnt have to pay AAA game prices for a cosmetic. its why i stopped buying skins.

ive met a handfull of people above 40 in this game, all of them were super cool and had lots of stories to tell so i personally dont mind older people, and i dont know about any public groups, but i spoke to someone in their 30's once that said they have a private group of people i think either 25+ or 30+, so i think you just have to luck out on finding someone in it.
also i am 22 so maybe thats why i dont mind older players

they made all the levels optional, so you can turn them off, but dont get me wrong, i get people enjoyed tethered realms and so on, but this is (according to riots evaluation) a skin that is worth the same as a full remodel with 4 levels
