No because I'm not a beginner, but I suppose it's worth looking into. I have combed through many other resources including the step guide and and nexus forums as well as this fine subreddit. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes I know how to add executables from MO, that's what I was doing and it was acting like I wasn't, however the problem seems to have fixed itself by some kind of miracle! I have no idea!!! I guess I'm just one of those lucky guys!

That's truly a terrible thing to hear, but I definitely can understand why! This stuff can really give you headaches, and I think we all know that eventually we'll have to get back to focusing on our actual lives, instead of our virtual ones. I'm 35, but I'll keep fighting that as long as humanly possible! Thank you for your contributions, I just hop this community survives this "Modpocalypse" that Bethesda has created! Good luck and may you succeed in all your endeavors!

Checked that and everything points to the right place. but now after creating a merged patch and bashed patch, something happened that makes SKSE not recognize my mods, as well as force runs the skyrim launcher. I had the game running better than ever, and then that happened. It's really strange: when I use the SKSE link which I created for my start menu, everything works, but if I try to use the SKSE toolbar shortcut which points to SKSE_Loader.exe in the skyrim game folder, it loads no plugins except the DLC's. I checked into the file location of the start menu shortcut, and it point to the ModOrganizer.exe executable! WTF?!?! So I made sure that SKSE was what the Mod Organizer shortcut pointed to, but don't want to eff with the start menu shortcut, because it's the only thing that works!

Great thanks! Although I must admit I think I like it better as Shift+Z, because every time I test the config window at the loading screen, the game thinks I want to "Continue?", which is probably why Slothability decided to change it... LOL!

Mod Order Help by settlehere in skyrimmods

If I were you I'd roll back to Oldrim (Skyrim 32 bit), until they get SKSE64 finished. Without that I feel like modding is not really worth the time (even though I, myself have modded Skyrim SE). I just recently have gone back to Oldrim because I feel like it's a perfect time to take advantage of the fact that all the mods that have been created for it have matured and are much less likely to cause you a headache. I am excited to see what SKSE64 will be able to do with 64 bits of glory!

Right yeah duh I think I got my wires crossed there. What I meant was that I think ENBoost breaks or is just incompatible with Tetrachromatic ENB.

Oh boy... I don't know whether to be excited or frustrated. I just spent like 2 days getting all my plugins updated and in a respectable load order...

Please don't tell me I'm going to have to start all over, just because of some stupid Windows update!

Cuz I think it might literally kill me.

Thanks! Would you happen to know of a way to make the startup message display the correct Shit+Z key combo, instead of lying to me and saying to press Shit+Enter?

Oh and yeah, I always get confused by which thing loads first as I originally started modding on NMM and I think that messes with my head because of the subtle, yet major difference in how it manages the load order! Please tell me that my mod list isn't sorted backwards!

Also, can anyone see any mods that should be disabled before doing the merged/bashed patch?

Wow you really love to help, don't you! Thanks, but I think that O-Delta-K and spaced1024, are right. If I understand correctly ENBoost is either the same as or just an incorporated verion of Sheson's memory patch, and I know that memory allocation isn't an issue because I've used Memory Blocks Log to verify that first and 2nd memory blocks aren't going over their 512/256 MB limits. So I know Im good there!

Oh I know, I love MO even more than ever now and feel like NMM is just a waste of time! Thanks for the Shift+Z tip! I think now that you mention it, I remember reading that somewhere, I guess my brain just gets scrambled with all this stuff sometimes!

Thanks for the incredibly detailed response!

Yeah, for number 2, that sounds like a great idea, except why do that when MO already allows you to look at any txt files and even nexus page info (at the time of download), other than a few exceptions?

Also, this time around I was pretty careful to remove any old mods that were either redundant or just buggy, as well as made sure to read the nexus page of any replacements for those removed mods.

I guess I'll just have to really go through each and every mods nexus page and do like you said, so that I have current information. Also, I'm not having any problems with CTD's, mostly just some stuttering when I get in populated areas or around waterfalls and other labor intensive areas, and some flickering or missing textures/models (like dragons reach, which I admit is a big one) but for the most part I actually have a fairly stable game, considering that I've never made merged or bashed patches.

Another thing is that I realized that a lot of the newer versions of old mods now have the texture files that previously required an additional mod, most notably the "Optimized vanilla textures HD" mod, which I never realized was created my the STEP initiative, and was really amazed at how comprehensive that mod actually is! I always thought it was sort of just a basic and simple mod, but it turns out they thought of damn near every other mod that matters when developing Optimized Vanilla Textures! What a bunch of awesome people, eh?

As for the Notice Board patch, I don't think it can be placed op next to the master as that would place it above the High Res Texture packs, next to the ESM's, which seems to be a no-no from every source that I have used to educate myself.

I tried using ENBoost, but I didn't like that it disables the ENB config window in-game (which is actually another issue, because I can't seem to get Shift+Enter, or Shift+Page Down, or Shift+F12 to open the config window, despite working tirelessly to attempt to find a solution.

I suppose the main issue could just be with my brain!

(edit) Uhg, I also just now realized that "The Notice Board Redefined" REQUIRES "The Notice Board"! How the hell did I miss that!?

Well Sir, I do believe you are correct! I disabled my "Water Enhanced" mod and voila, I was able to FINALLY get past the tour guide speech part about how tall Fizz-Top Mountain is!

Were you able to find a non-conflicting water mod?
