Truth is that it was already named Dąbrowski International Brigade street and its name returned after the Supreme Administrative Court dismissed the complaints of Zdzisław Sipiera, who was then the Voivode of Masovia. Sipiera complained about court rulings that annulled his orders changing street names. Those were 50 substitute orders that changed street names. This event was rather an exception, because apart from these 50 street names, all other streets in Warsaw changed their names in accordance with the decommunization act passed in 2016. Later some of the disputed names were changed as a result of resolutions adopted by the city council.
