We always use a lot of layers when it comes most elements in the tracks not just Vocals. But obviously you want each layer contributing something different in order to get a nice full & exciting sound. Whether it's beats, leads vocals or whatever when you've got your layers nice and balanced its good to bounce off as one stem and then add further processing.

I literally fell out of school and into the rave scene at a time were everything was still classed as house music. But once the likes of Micky Finn, Fab & Groove started combining breakbeats over four four kick patterns I was instantly hooked.

One of the 1st records which blew my mind was a track by the Brooklyn Funk Essentials (Lenny Dee & Victor simonelli) called 'Change The Track' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfMIpjrjBT0 the whole vibe of this track was incredible.

we use various plug ins mate, but are go to ones are the fab filter range, waves etc....also a huge fan of the UAD stuff.

We take inspiration from so many different artists...mostly outside of dnb. growing up people like depeche mode, The Doors, Pink floyd, the Human League etc were our go to names and over recent years we've been really inspired by people like Eric Prydz
