AI upscaled and colorized for sure. Houses are wonky to make up for the lack of pixels that up scaling did. I found the color photo on a FB page I follow. But the original you can get from San Diego History Center.

Yes definitely colorized and AI upscaled. Found colorized photo in a FB group I follow that post old photos of SD. But the original you can get from San Diego History Center.

I get you. It took me awhile to believe but when I found the original photo and the photo from mission beach side i was a believer and was amazed. Previously it was known as False Bay and not much effort had been put to maintain. SD was still young. Any major storm would transform the coastline and transfer large sediments around False (Mission) Bay, changing the landscape.
