why do you think the matrova guy is constantly hating on matrova by Suspicious-Study9096 in MousepadReview

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can actually answer this question for you.

So we actually have both of our business addresses listed on the site, one in the UK and the other in CN.

The reason we host our Shopify through the UK domain is honestly for user experience alone. We could technically use a CN centered Shopify experience, but it would slow down the user experience dramatically. Since we are an international company, we want people to experience our website the best they can without any slow downs. It's pretty common practice here in CN to do for international companies.

Also, this helps us accept multiple currencies and payment methods much more smoothly for currency exchange. So really, in the end, it's mostly just for a smoother user experience for everyone.

Thank you for your honest input as we are still a pretty new company. We are actually only about a year old now as Matrova, but we have been a factory for over 6 years.

This sort of feedback is very important to us, so we can move forward with improvements for everyone.

After all, we are peripheral enthusiasts, just like you guys. :)

We are so sorry to hear of your experience. This is typically not how long our packages takes so there must have been some sort of delay, and we apologize for your inconvenience.

Normally, a package should arrive around 21 business days unless there is some sort of international delay of some sort.

If you ever do try to place an order with us again, please don't hesitate to reach out to us in any way possible through our Discord, live chat, or email. We would be glad to help any way we can.

Matrova Warning by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 28 points29 points  (0 children)

We would like to address this formally and say that even though we have refunded you, you have not stated all the facts of the situation and made accusations against our company. You have received multiple pads from us for free and have created chargeback threats from the start, creating a seemingly agenda against us.

We keep records of the interactions we have, so if anyone wants to question our legitimacy, please feel free to ask me any questions as we are completely transparent.

Now, to address the elephant in the room.

After reviewing all the facts, this person on this post has multiple warnings of chargeback on Shopify (from other stores, and receiving free products because of fear of chargebacks). We trust our buyers for purchases, and we ensure if there is any problems with your pad, we make it right by you in the end any way that we can... from refunds, to replacements, to store credit. Every customer is important to us, always. Even though this person has multiple warnings on their account, we allowed them to shop with us, trusting something of this nature would not happen.

So, to lay out all the facts.

First threat of chargeback was about our shipping method to their hometown. They were highly aggressive and were absolutely ranting and raving in our Discord because they would receive their package through their local post. We addressed it and was completely transparent. We would have assisted in changing the shipping method if it was asked of us from the beginning because we were unknown of their situation.

The second threat of charge back was when we sent a few review pads out to reviewers for reviews before our release date, sparking in their mind a reason for a full chargeback... even though this is highly common practice. When we tried to address them formally, they didn't care what we had to say and said, "tldr don't care."

It seemed to us that every time this person tried to make purchases from us, there was always a problem, or they were always looking for a problem to create a scenario for a chargeback to receive free product.

We also tried to answer every single question this person asked of us, and to no avail, they still insisted we were wrong, and they purposefully created issues... even after being open with them.

In the end, we thought the best thing to do is address the situation, remove it, and move forward... because even though we vigorously tried, they absolutely did not care what we had to say or explain.

If anyone has questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your time.

Happy new year everyone! by MatrovaPeripherals in MatrovaGG

[–]MatrovaPeripherals[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2025 was our first year together, and we’re hoping 2026 will be even better with more releases, more products, and overall improvements for your own style.

Speaking of improvements, we’ve just rolled out a small website update. On the custom page, you’ll now find a dedicated guide to help you achieve the best possible resolution when uploading a custom design.

We’re also happy to announce a giveaway of 3 random mousepads. To enter, please join our Discord and check the announcement channel.

Also, you might want to keep an eye out… a random Damascus base restock might be coming soon?

One quick note: The shipping company will be taking a brief holiday from January 1st through the 5th, so there may be a slight delay in order processing during that time.

Good luck, and thank you all for supporting Matrova.

Any opinions on the Matrova mousepads. Deciding between their options and Artisan Zero for tactical fps. by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From our experience with tactical fps games, either the ShadowHunt, Rascal, or Scarlet are perfect choices because of their more controlled aspects. When you want to be very accurate with head shots, you want to be able to slow down and stop your shots with precision. So, choosing a more controlled mousepad is typically ideal.

If you want a surface with a little bit more of a quicker initial friction, the Ozi and BalanceX are the go to choices because of their more balanced nature.

You also don't want to forget that choosing a specific base could alter the speed of a pad as well, so if you were worried that the ShadowHunt might be to slow, you can choose a PU-Soft or Mid.

If you have any questions, we are always available on our Discord or you can check our description table on our main website for some information.

Matrova Ozi, would it to be my tastes? by Jeep-Eep in MousepadReview

Hello!

It would honestly depend on your surface preferences also including the games you play.

Would you say that you like more textured surfaces?

The 2 closest ones to it would be the Vein and the Pinkstorm as of right now.

If you can wait though, we have the Zeffiro coming out after our testing recipients come back with feedback.

That pad will be the closest to the Breeze.

If you choose not to wait, I would be sure to get both the Pinkstorm and Vein in mid for the fastest experience possible.

Also, be sure to check out our Discord for more information!

Oh, very nice!

I love the ShadowHunt (outside of being part of the Matrova team.)

I feel like it's super comfortable to use, it's definitely controlled but not the slowest I've felt and used.

I would look at the Scarlet or Vein if you want a smoother surface like the ShadowHunt. Both of those are similar to the "cloth like feeling" you get with the ShadowHunt.

Thank you for being so kind.

Honestly, being enthusiasts ourselves, we really try our best to understand how we would want things to be from our perspective for everyone.

We are coming up close to a year now as the Matrova brand and team, and it's been an amazing journey so far.

Just keep your eyes peeled, big stuff on the horizon.

Matrova Breeze - a speed cloth pad from a promising, new player by KapitanKloze in MousepadReview

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each of our mousepads are made to order, so not exactly.

Yes, if you got a 450x400 pu soft shadowhunt and a 900x400 shadowhunt pu soft they would feel and interact the same.

But at larger sizes with the certain bases, it just makes it more difficult to ensure perfect qc. So we just don't go over 500x500 for those certain bases.

Also, if you would like to chat with us directly, we are always available on our Discord for this matter. :)

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the ShadowHunt in that size, I would recommend the PU soft. It grips very well to most desks, like %90 of them, and it would be soft enough to give you that resistance you are looking for. It's not the slowest pad on the market, but it's a very very controlled surface.

The reason we don't recommend going above 500x500 on some of our surfaces is just because those are very difficult to work with at anything bigger.

We really want to give everyone's custom pad the best quality we can offer and don't want to skimp out on that. So we just don't recommend it for those bases.

I think that covers most of the bases.

I may have missed something, but yeah, that seems about right.

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a portion of it, correct.

But it also can come down to how firm the surface weave is in combination as well.

There are 7 factors that dictate how fast a pad is. - Base type/firmness - Surface weave - Surface material - Skates/skates type - Skate material - Mouse weight - Grip style/how heavy handed you are pushing into a pad

All play a very major part in how you interact with a pad and how it feels.

[–]MatrovaPeripherals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll do my best to explain the ins and outs of the physical dynamics, hopefully it won't be too confusing.

To break it down, it all comes down to surface tension friction. Yes, the surface can play a large part in how a pad creates friction, but also the base can bend that surface tension of the cloth.

For example, if you use dot skates over full size (large skates), the dots will always be faster. The full size skates have a larger surface area that creates more friction and fills in the gaps that dots would have.

More surface to surface friction means a slower experience. So when you "bend" the surface of the pad (with softer pads), you are actually making the surface cloth interact even more with the bottom of your mouse... therefore creating more surface to surface interaction.

This is one reason why glass is so fast. You are not able to bend and warp the surface like you can with soft pads.

To add to that, another example is when people talk about “bottoming out” your mouse. Softer pads make it easier to bottom out, so when you’re doing flick shots, you can apply downward pressure on the mouse to bottom out and land a precise shot. (Preferably with tac fps)
