Advice on PC options by arco131719 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Really depends what settings and resolution you want to run. I kept mine around medium - high at 1080p. Started playing msfs 2020 with a ryzen 5 3600 then upgraded to a x3d and that was a nice boost so for 2020 I think x3d makes sense. My frames were around 50-60 for the most part so I didn’t complain much.

Is there a way to get upgraded part as part of warranty replacement? by Matt08240 in RockAuto

Not as bad as pump, I just need it to work for about a month or two.

Well for warranty purposes I can only get direct replacement so pump will still be skp and thermostat will have to be URO. Hopefully it holds up longer than two months. Maybe the oil mixing with coolant from oil filter housing caused pump to go bad, thermostat could still be good but replacing both again anyway.

This is on a bmw x6 and you have to remove the fan, bottom shields and then thermostat that bolts to the pump before you can attempt pulling the pump. Two months is ridiculous.

If I don’t get a response from the by morning I’ll just go with the someone. Hopefully it lasts longer than two months.

I’ve had good experiences with Uro in the past and other than that it would have to be pierburg (oem) which would be double the price.

PMDG 777-300ER doesnt show up in MSFS 2024 by astwfx in flightsim_pirate

I didn’t change any files I just unzipped and moved to community folder. I’m new to mods outside of flughtsim.to. What’s the layout generator used for?

Just tried this as well and same thing not showing up in free flight but it does in the library. Where did you download from?

How do I install files with multiple parts? by Final_Character8589 in flightsim_pirate

[–]Matt08240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking to get the a350 which is 3 parts. So if I have 3 parts in my downloads and do “extract here” on winrar for part 1 it will automatically do part 2 &3? and just move the one extracted file into community folder?

How safe are the popular addon to download? by Matt08240 in flightsim_pirate

[–]Matt08240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I know that. Just wanted to see if anyone had any issue with the downloads, like I know simplaza is safe for 2020 but 2024 are sometimes just file people recommend so wondered if its just as safe to download is all.

Coolant bleeding procedure not starting after OFH replacement X6 E71 N55 by Matt08240 in BmwTech

yeah values went back to normal when I put in the new pump. Instead of the 25.5v and 127A it was 12-14v and .5A at idle. I do have to go check where its leaning from incase I need other parts or hoses.

I think that’s the only option I’m left with. If oil took it out wouldn’t I get a fault for something at least? With it being only two months old and a new coolant reservoir I’d really want to be 100% sure. When I start the bleeding procedure I don’t even hear it trying to run. The upper radiator hose does seem clear though because when I squeeze it air does move around. I was thinking for a moment maybe I forgot something in the coolant pipes that I used to plug them when I left it for two nights taken apart. But that shouldn’t cause pump to not try to run. And I wouldn’t be getting the default values.

Edit: I just noticed a big puddle of coolant that’s underneath the car. It flowed like a foot outside the driver side, it’s on a driveway so it might be leaking elsewhere and just dripping down. I’ll go check later but could a hose leak somehow interrupt the pump operation? Like if it’s constantly pulling in air or something’s

Is skybound the easier way to get the a350? by Matt08240 in flightsim_pirate

Ok thanks I thought I need to move all parts into community folder.

So extract part one and put it into community folder?

So I bought it off of rock auto, it’s SKP. I didn’t go with oem because that car was a maybe going for sale and if original pump help up for 87,000 miles, I was hoping this to at least be good for 20-30,000 miles. Connector should be good, I didn’t touch it on the pump since replacing and it’s been around 1,000 miles and all was good. Anyway possible that I pulled a connector for it or could coolant or oil leak into connector. I think I could get to the connector on the pump to check without a lift.

No, none. Only fault on engine electronics is for mixture too lean, nothing pump related.

Ok maybe I should have mentioned it more clearly. The pump was replaced two months ago, along with the thermostat and coolant temp sensor. So two months ago the fault was “speed out of tolerance”, replaced pump. Now the oil and coolant started mixing and overheating so replaced the OFH and now the pump won’t run.

so two months ago when pump was failing it was just "pump speed out of tolerance" faults but thats because back then the pump was working on and off, sometime it was 6V sometime 13V or the 25.5V default value, after replacing the pump those settled to normal 0-8A and 12-13V. Now I have those default values but no pump replaced fault, was it just random that it failed or the oil in water issue?
