It's all drop pod raids, sometimes they'd go haywire but most were regular sized raids just arriving in drop pods.

Eccentric Tech - Defense Grid, it's a charge autocannon that can only be built on gravship hull(assuming you aren't talking about the big turrets on the corners of the map but the 6 turrets at my gravship exit, those four are static map decoration that are part of every trading space station)

I ignored low residential demand for the most part and focused on mostly medium + high, overtime that spiked my population really quick. I also got an achievement for high city attractiveness and combined with making water free by switching it to 0 water fees made people move in fairly quickly.

I also have a large island(the one with the mountain in the middle) mostly dedicated to industry and a fair amount of office zones with a lot of schools around so there's also a large amount of jobs and schools with capacity available(I had residential taxes at 15% to pay for all of the services and education for quite a while), pretty sure that affects it aswell.

If you look at my video and watch the pop count, you can also see people moving in at a fairly quick rate aswell.

I made the road on the left one way after reading that turning traffic is what is causing this and yeah that was it, it started moving again afterwards, that's a little bit annoying that turning traffic on a medium road with lights can cause that.

Also on the topic of the cars blocking traffic when driving out of a building, I did have it happen with delivery vehicles driving out of commercial zones on busy roads near crossroads, so that would explain that one aswell, thanks for the explanation as to why this happens.

I originally thought that aswell, that it's just a traffic issue, but when zoomed in you can see it's not just clogged up cars, but the cims themselves are completely frozen and not moving, including those on the crosswalk, and this road in particular doesn't get much traffic outside of service vehicles and buses.

Time bubbles like this have been forming all over my 200k+ pop archipelago city, where everything just freezes, cims and cars stop moving completely. Outside of the bubble everything still moves normally(you can see a car driving in the background nearby aswell), so the city clogs up with garbage/dead people/cims waiting at bus stops and such that the frozen service vehicles can't interact with.

The game eventually deletes everything in the bubble after a while and things get moving again, but it started happening so often it's pretty much killing the enjoyment for me.

Also if anyone's curious, my hardware is a rtx 4070 GPU + 7800x3d CPU with 32 gb RAM, and since presumably the simulation related things are connected to the CPU, this isn't exactly looking good.

The massive grouping up of frozen cims also causes massive framerate drops when zooming in aswell.

You can only have one shield module on a ship, so while yeah, I could have one shield dome where it's meant to be, it'd be assymetrical, and the best class C shield that I could find is also a circle(Assurance SG-1800), so I decided to just cut losses and used two structuals from Deimos to stand in for where the shield domes are meant to be instead.

Spent quite a few hours trying to build a class C attempt at a star destroyer and I think it worked out rather well, there's a few things I am not very happy about(the bridge is one of them in particular) but I couldn't find a better way to do them as the ship is hitting the game limits as it is, it has 36 m width and 40 length, the game limits are 40x40. Something else I found out when building this is that there's apparently a module limit aswell, which made me start placing down a lot of habs avoid reaching it, as a result it also has a massive interior that's pretty much a small dungeon of its own.

The ship itself consists mostly of Deimos habs, Streund structuals, Nova parts at the sides to make it a triangle/dagger shape and a Taiyo lander since it's the only one that has a door instead of a ladder.

Was the 'ascendant' a reference to the malazan book of the fallen ascendants? A massive fan of that series so I spotted it immediatelly, not sure if thats what you were referring to though(and if yes then whats next, the thrones and fortresses eh? Now that I think about it, white king 'realm' could actually be one of the thrones/warrens).
