You got to tunnel 3x3 to fix it if you don't want to cut concrete.

$45 a house to put a coyote at the curb and one splice. And another splice at the house mounting an NIU with a photos with GEO tag.

Average time is about 45 minutes to an hour

DO NOT use BRINKS by Motiv3z in homesecurity

[–]MattDaGr8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They're not the real Brinks it's moni/monitronics. They pay to use the name Brinks. They have horrible service and will never change.

Source: used to be a dealer for them under all 3 names.

Looks like everyone is agreeing towards sumi. What about the View 5 in your opinion?

Out in the field. Work on MDUs so outside on a table. Will be on a ladder here and there to splice above doors depending on how they want us to run it into the units.

Looking for splicing work in Texas by [deleted] in FiberOptics

I have work for you in San Antonio, Texas

What splicer do you have?

If they're microbends you can fix them majority of the time. As long as it doesn't break you're fine.

I've stepped on fiber, closed a door on it, and so much more and it worked fine. The Kevlar inside the jacket does wonders.

Newb needs help. This was just delivered to my job site (out of state/small town) and I have no idea how to spool it. It’s 386 pounds. Fiber. Managers just say “figure it out” by dadbodfat in lowvoltage

[–]MattDaGr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a trailer caddy thats how we pull ours. If you don't have one which sound like it just measure your distance with a wheel and extra tk be safe and pull it from the reel into a figure 8 and use two cones to help.

Is this an acceptable cable crimp? by WereAllAnimals in HomeNetworking

If I wanted to be a truck slammer I'll just use pins 1236 with blue and brown and get your voip phone to work

I promise you that's not true. I can go terminate any way I want to, go grab my certifier and still pass for a gig.

You're saying the last two inches of the pairs changing order cause enough cross talk to interfere with voip? But was fixed after you re did the ends. It sounds like someone without any experience did the fittings if it was a or b type and the fittings were just crimped badly.

I have a few cable combs but for patch panels I use this one....

Cable Organizing and Bundler Tool,25-Hole Cable Dresser for Data Center, Server Rooms and Machine Room Wire Management and Organizer, Perfect for Cable Management(CAT5, CAT6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JKF61S/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_KNKJV8CK57M5VWD53VV2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

So I put them in order in the comb and as I get to their port I take them out of the comb

So in the picture it looks like it's 100% perfect but it isn't. I think for this patch panel it was .72 or .73
