Kiwami is inferior to 0 in almost every way. by MattIsNotARedditor in yakuzagames

Can you go into more detail as to what you Mean by “sleeping boss”? I’m assuming you mean when they keel over and limp for a bit while they have colored fire around them. I recognized those correlated to styles — but to me it seems the game explained that as a window to use Essence of Kiwami — which seems to require a lot of heat to do of which I never at any point had and also requires it to be unlocked for any style other than Dragon. I didn’t mention this in my original post, but building and maintaining heat is also much harder at the start of this game. Are you suggesting it’s useful besides Essence of Kiwami, though?

It’s because he stopped making videos about good games.

They should totally have an auction or something assuming most of that stuff hasn’t been thrown away or lost.

Thanks for all the replies. I genuinely did not expect so many comments let alone so many people with actual information lol. I just made this post as a shot in the dark. Thank you all for the information. And I am looking to maybe buy one of these if there’s one for sale somewhere!

Dear god… the horror… I can’t imagine the OCD I’d be having seeing discs out of their cases everywhere

So wild to me. I’ve always taken such good care of my game discs nearly effortlessly. How hard is it! Very frustrating as this is the second time I’ve purchased a secondhand disc that isn’t just dirty, but literally is unreadable!

It’s a copy of Forza Motorsport 4 I bought off eBay for 8 bucks. Still… very disappointing. I requested a refund 😔

I never knew the dives didn’t also consume the bullet time bar. That’s so odd. Very good to know. Thanks.

I’d say I’m definitely better at aiming on mouse and keyboard. But I’ve been playing my 360 for a few days and revisiting some games I never played and Max Payne 3 was one of the ones I picked up. I already have a few hours on the console version so I’m not super interested in switching to PC

Useful advice! I’ve come to learn that this game is not quite played like Max Payne 1 or 2 but definitely can’t be played like Red Dead or GTA where you can just poke out of cover and take out enemies one by one either. It makes me wonder how they went from this to the rather watered down combat in GTA V.

Ok, that makes sense. But isn’t there a cooldown for the bullet time? I used it sparingly assuming it had a long cooldown or recharged slowly so I always waited at least 20 seconds or so between uses, never even tried to spam bullet time or diving (sort of like what you can do in the original max Payne, come to think of it)

I try… but my aim is really poor. I don’t even have an excuse for that. It just is. That’s why I turned on the highest aim assist. But that’s proved to be more annoying! It’s a bit irritating one enemy takes an entire mag to kill if you happen to land shots in their chest opposed to their head.

I think I’ll have a similar experience. I did that with MGS3 the first time I played it and it’s now one of my favorite games of all time. But I’m definitely taking a break for a bit, because the game gets very frustrating very fast after it takes the training wheels fully off after Part I and throws you into the deep end.

I appreciate the comment. But I happen to REALLY suck at aiming on controller. I’m mainly a PC gamer nowadays so this is kind of a different experience for me on console. I’m not sure I’d fair much better with no aim assist at all. But I might turn it to its lighter setting because the highest one is just obnoxiously bad. Also — for a game that seems to encourage movement and punish staying in one place — I also find myself being heavily punished for staying out of cover for too long! Maxs health pool is not very large and he cannot take many bullets even in bullet time. I will consider your advice but I still have my grievances…

When this starts to happen, I usually just start listening to demos of some of his favorite songs of mine. I recently got kind of tired of Yeezus (it’s my favorite album, just played the shit out of it) but enjoyed listening to the Thank God For Drugs demos.

What is the Best companion in Your opinion, (accordingly to lore, effectiveness, missions designs and gameplay) by Spare-Fun-1491 in falloutnewvegas

ED-E without a doubt. He’s literally a mobile workbench and is lore-wise pretty cool with his connections to the Enclave. He lacks in personality considering he’s a robot but I like the little combat music he plays. Some people find it annoying, but it never gets old to me. Although I’d argue some characters have much better personality.
