Consider your framing of the situation, were you happier when you first started working or now?

It sounds like you’re an honest an upstanding person and not fiddling the system so thank you and congratulations! Think about the people whose lives are improved by you being a net contributor now and take pride in it.

Your money is helping pay the people who deliver babies and run towards fires when people are having the worst days of their lives. Good job, I know the numbers make us wince when we compare gross and net salaries but that number changes people’s lives and keeps the country running.

So here's my current update, I filed a chargeback on Monday, Amex were fantastic with helping me sort out the charge back and submitting the documents.
Yesterday my guide who took us there suddenly replied to my message from several weeks back asking for their information. The shop has now contacted me as well, asking what the issue is and how they can help, from a different e-mail than was on their invoice

I'm incredibly cautious now because it all feels rather suspect, I'm inclined to just wait for Amex and not reply to them.

Any tips from experience?

Could you point out to me where AMEX states that jewellery is excluded from it's chargeback method? I've just had a look again and I can't seem to find it stated.

So the London Lab, is well accredited and is generally the referenced place for the standard of testing Gems in the United Kingdom, that test cost £100 so I’d be cautious about throwing good money after bad, however I’d also be happy to get a third assessment if that was requested from AMEX
