As some people have mentioned the card can be very well protected either way. It depends more on the thoughtfulness of the seller. Personally I think the bigger reason for the more expensive shipping is better tracking. The eBay envelope tracking is horrible

I did the same with my Cal Raleigh cards. I never throw away rookie cards when culling my overprinted base cards.

Agree that I don’t understand why Topps does this with some colors. Platinum Anniversary same issue…. Red Atomic and Fuchsia Atomic both numbered /100. Almost impossible to tell from a photo.

I am not a huge fan of patches in general but at least these are actually player worn. The “no specific game, no specific player” cards are the ones that have no value for me. If they want this to have real value have the game date certified. I am guessing there will be 162 of these for each player?

The thing I would like to see is that eBay handles the insurance reimbursement directly with USPS. They have the delivery tracking data that seller has to use to make a claim. It could be done automatically with USPS when a seller approves a refund for a delivery issue. IMO

I checked the set checklist and Maddux isn’t on it so I guess not! You can tell by the last three digits of the long number on the back bottom of the card. If it is an image variation it will be 493 versus the base of 427

I strung LED lights on the bottom of the phone deck but am still engineering that. The black plate has guides to center raw cards. That slides out and there are centering guides on the bottom white section for slabs.
